Hello and Welcome to the Anaqua User Conference!
It’s been one of the most exciting years in our company’s history. Along with the Lecorpio merger and the acquisition of our IP services partner Beacon IP, we recently launched a first-to-market Forward Examiners Rejections tool from AcclaimIP and released new versions of Lecorpio, ideaPoint, and ANAQUA software. During this eventful week, we’re pleased to highlight all of the new capabilities that we have added since we last met.
With more than 250 attendees, this year’s conference features many of you, IP thought leaders from among the world’s most innovative corporations and law firms, discussing a range of critical innovation and IP topics, including patent strategy, collaborative innovation, and trademark management.
This User Conference will be our largest in company history. This year, in addition to more client-led discussions, we’ve designed sessions specifically for corporate executives and we will be previewing our Next Generation software platform. What hasn’t changed is the value we place on your input and the collaboration that occurs during the event. We have a strong program packed with great content and opportunities for information sharing during breaks and over drinks and dinner. We also have some fun events planned!
I encourage you to take advantage of this time to engage with the members of our global Anaqua team, including members of our client services and technical staff.
I look forward to seeing you all this week
Best regards,
Bob RomeoCEO, Anaqua

Most companies now view IP management software purchase and implementation as a major investment that must deliver a demonstrable return on investment and help manage opportunity cost for the enterprise. However, typically, this critical point of view tends to fade during implementation and after “Go Live”.
Capturing value from the implementation is a strategic opportunity to institute a culture of continuous improvement and to harvest the maximum benefit from the investment in Anaqua software and services. Benefits in operational efficiencies and from new features and functionality can be substantial.
Forward thinking clients such as NVIDIA and HPI are focused on value capture, continuous improvement and operational metrics to help harvest benefits from implementing ANAQUA. This panel is an interactive forum for a lively discussion on best practices for value capture.

General Conference Session Descriptions
Anaqua Services Overview– presented by Anaqua Kyle Hoellger, Director, Client Growth, Anaqua
At its core, successful IP management is driven by a relentless pursuit of efficiency, simplicity, and finding an ideal balance between the two. In order to achieve such goals, innovative companies and law firms rely not only on robust IP management software, but also on a network of service providers. Making these often times disparate software and service components work together in harmony can present a unique challenge for even the most experienced teams. Kyle Hoellger of Anaqua, will lead a session dedicated to tackling this challenge. The discussion will center around how integrated IP service offerings, such as docketing, data validation, foreign filing, and patent search, are enabling clients to achieve maximum return on their Anaqua investment.
Cost Cheating Behind the Scenes – Overloading Automated Tasks to Automate Reporting, Monitor Workload and Predict Bandwidth – with Morris & Kamlay Aaron Kamlay, Managing Partner, Morris Kamlay
Automated custom tasks and processing are commonly used in ANAQUA to standardize and improve internal workflows. We can also use them to automate internal “reporting” and notify responsible parties of new tasks. By matching workflows to client requirements and PTO due dates, we can “cheat” even more and use the automated systems to monitor – and predict – both attorney and staff workloads. Because these techniques use automatic processing that’s built into ANAQUA, they don’t require any additional effort or knowledge from staff members.
GSK Legal Brand Protection – Embedding and Growing ANAQUA – with GSK Dawn Adams, Formalities Manager, GSK
Dawn Adams shares key aspects of GSK’s “Embed and Grow” journey in 2017 to drive operational efficiency, transparency and collaboration within the Brand Protection business. She goes over her perspectives on lessons learned, best practices as well as the successes results from this initiative.
PTO Data Strategy– presented by Anaqua Sunny MacRae, Vice President, General Manager, Lecorpio
This session is designed to give users from all Anaqua products insight into the new IP Data Validation and Data Verification tool/process using real-time direct access to key Patent offices. This tool will provide real-time updates and interaction from over 20+ Intellectual Property Offices across the globe, thus syncing and validating your IP data against native patent office data ensuring its integrity. Join us at this session to learn more about this future capability.
