Our story

Born and raised in Goondiwindi, QLD, to parents who worked on the land, we have always had farming and agriculture at heart. As brothers from the country we share the same passion and vision in business—to see the agricultural industry in our great land continually grow and prosper.

Growing up on farms, working the land and gaining over 20 years of combined recruitment management experience we have developed a holistic understanding of the agricultural, horticulture and aquaculture industries and their true staffing needs. Current staffing shortfalls in regional Australia and the rising cost of labour make these tough industries, and this has driven us to deliver solutions that are cost effective and that ensure quality is never compromised.

We offer our clients a flexible and reliable solution to help combat absenteeism, sickness, holidays and/or peaks in business cycles.

Whether it is 1 worker for 1 month, or 100 workers for 12 months, we have the systems in place to meet diverse client demands.

A key benefit of the Agri Labour Australia solutions is the management of all administration and payroll functions. This includes the provision of Work Cover and the payment of Payroll Tax and Superannuation for all on-hired personnel. Recruitment process

Brief

The recruitment process is tailored to the specific role required and takes into consideration the client’s business trends, structure, beliefs and objectives.

Candidate sourcing

Our offshore offices, active networking, strategic advertising, candidate referrals and extensive databases mean that the right candidates are sourced.

Screening

Initial screening includes reviewing candidate CVs, qualifications and experience.

References

Referees are validated to confirm candidates’ strengths, weaknesses, reliability, leadership skills and work ethic.

Preliminary interviews

Candidates are invited for a preliminary interview with a representative of Agri Labour Australia.

Shortlist and selection

Top candidates are presented for client’s selection.
