From Our Messianic Leader…..
Living Godly in a
Ungodly Nation
What is happening to the U.S.? Our
founding fathers came up with an idea,
framework and agenda heavily influ-
enced by Biblical principles found in
our Bibles. Slowly we have changed
our nation from “one nation under
God” to a group of people who no
longer want Him to be involved in our
nation at all.
Many of us were brought up in Godly
ways. Our nation has become ungodly
in many ways. There are too many
people that are driven by materialism
and power; immorality and rebellion
have become widespread. False doc-
trines and empty philosophy are wide-
ly accepted by our youth and many
unbelievers. All or most of it is a push
to keep our Heavenly Father --- God -
-- out of our nation’s affairs.
The Word of Adonai, The Bible, is a
compass that will keep us headed in
the right direction, even in the middle
of confusing messages. We all need
to be consistently filled with the
truth by the Ruach HaKodesh / Holy
Spirit by reading, believing, meditating
and applying scripture to our every-
day life. 1Thessalonians5:17 NASB
instructs us to; “pray without
ceasing”. If our minds are focused
on Him, unholy thoughts and beliefs
won’t be able to take root.
The Word – Bible – is our guide-
book, book of instructions -- Basic
Instruction Before Leaving Earth.
We’ll still face hardships and difficul-
ties as we live in this imperfect
world, it is a dark and confusing place
that tempts us, BUT will never fulfill
our true longing. Adonai’s truth will
bring us confidence and boldness. His
Ruach will direct, strengthen and en-
able us to live a life of victory!

MINISTRY UPDATES
Davidic Dance Ministry
Beginning dance steps are offered after Oneg on the first and second Sabbaths of the
month at 1:15 for 30 minutes. The Shabbat Medley dance will be taught during this time.
All who learn it can then participate in the Shabbat Medley dance to bring in the Sabbath
Service.
Is. 52:7 "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of the messenger of good tidings, that announc-
es peace and announces salvation, that says unto Zion: "Your Elohim reigns!" Davidic Dance at Ahava is worshiping Adonai with sacred reverence to Him. Therefore, there must be
order and understanding when we worship through dance. Seasoned worship dancers may join the Da-
vidic Dance circle after speaking to Daniele and Julia, our dance leaders, and demonstrating basic core
steps. Appropriate dance attire is skirts and dresses below the knee, and tops should be covered shoul-
ders, no tank tops or camisoles.... nothing see through. Our focus is to please Elohim and not man. The Hora Dance is for everyone and we encourage all to participate and celebrate in this dance. The
dance for “He Shall Reign” is for everyone as well! Thank you for your understanding and we ask that you pray that Elohim be exalted
through the dance ministry as it is a powerful weapon against the enemy.
Contact the Office at Ahava B’Shem Yeshua (928.443.5988) if you have any questions.
Ahava Children’s Ministry The sign up sheet for March is back in the classroom/nursery area on the wall. We are encouraging par-
ents of those who utilize this ministry to consider volunteering to assist once a month, or every 6
weeks. Teachers and helpers can sign themselves up for dates that work for them. It will cover 2
months at a time. Teachers will be planning their own lessons, and helpers as usual will assist the teach-
er. In the storage room in the back of the sanctuary, there is a curriculum box for books and lessons,
or you can use resources that you have. More teachers are needed. There should be a minimum of
one adult in the back (18 or over) but preferably 2 adults should sign up at a time. Please talk to Dee
Rodriguez if you would like to serve as a teacher for the first time, or if you would be willing to serve as
the new Shabbat School leader.
For those who sign up for Shabbat School, on the Sabbath you are in the classroom, please let
the people serving in the sound booth know and they can make you a copy of the message.

MESSIANIC 101 TITHES & OFFERINGS
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly shall also reap sparely, and whoever sows boun-
tifully shall also reap bountifully. Let each one of you give as he has decided in his heart, not grudgingly or
under compulsion - for God loves a cheerful giver (TLV).
At Ahava B’Shem Yeshua you will notice that the collection plate is not passed around
during our service. In the back of the sanctuary, sits our Tzedakah box. Tzedakah is
Hebrew for charity. We use our Tzedakah box to collect our tithes and offerings. By
keeping the tzedakah box in the back of the sanctuary, this allows privacy when do-
nating to our shul.
Tithing is an important part of our faith. The word tithe means one tenth. It is a way to put into action our faith
in G-d’s provision. Our patriarch, Abram (who would later be known as Abraham) tithed to Melchizedek. Gene-
sis 14:19-20 He blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram by El Elyon (G-d, G-d Most High) Creator of heaven
and earth, and blessed be El Elyon, who gave over your enemies into your hand” Then Abram gave him a
tenth of everything. Offerings are described in the Torah Portion VaYakhel, when Moses gathered offerings to
build the Tabernacle. Exodus 35:4-5 Moses also said to all the congregation of Bnei-Yisrael (the Children of
Israel) , “This is the word which Adonai commanded saying: take from among you an offering for Adonai.
Whoever has a willing heart, let him bring Adonai’s offering: gold, silver and bronze; So much was given by
Bnei-Yisrael that in Exodus 36: 6-7 Moses commanded the people to refrain from bring anything else.
The important thing about giving to G-d whether tithes and / or offerings is the nature of our
hearts. As Paul so eloquently stated in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 for G-d loves a cheerful giver.
The parable of the widow’s mite in Luke 21:1-4 shows this in action. When Yeshua saw a
widow putting two small copper coins into the Tzedakah box, He said “Truly I say to you,
this poor widow has put in more than all the rest.” Yeshua was able to see the nature of
the widow’s heart.
G-d says in Psalms 50:9-14 that the earth, and all that is in it is His. He doesn’t need our
money, what he wants is our hearts. Psalms 50:14 Offer G-d a sacrifice of thank offerings,
then fulfill your vows to Elyon. G-d follows this with Psalm 50:15 Call upon Me in the day
of trouble. When I rescue you, you will honor me. G-d even challenges us to test Him in this matter. In Malachi
3:10 “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse. Then there will be food in My house. Now test Me in this” -
says Adonai-Tzva’ot (the Lord of Hosts) - “If I will not open for you the win-
dows of heaven, and pour out blessing for you, until no one is without
enough. “ That is a pretty strong promise from our Creator and Sustainer!
Tithing is a personal matter between you and Adonai-Tzva’ot. It is simply a
matter of heart, yours and His. Matthew 6:21 states For where your treasure
is, there will your heart be also. May you be blessed as you step out in faith in
this manner of worship with a willing heart.
