WELCOME

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to the 43rd All-Ireland Accordion Festival.

On behalf of the Irish Accordion Association I extend a warm welcome to all players and guests and hope you have an enjoyable and musically rewarding weekend.

This is our second visit to the Castle Arch Hotel in Trim and we thank the management and staff of the Hotel who looked after us so well last year.

We welcome our adjudicator, Graham Laurie, from Scotland. This is his first time to adjudicate the Festival and we hope he enjoys his stay here.

We hope to run a masterclass this year and we would envisage that this would be suitable for teenagers and young adults who would be of grade 5 standard or above. We are running an International Festival next year and at the moment there is an orchestra coming from Italy and another Orchestra and Ensemble coming from Germany. Exciting times ahead and we will keep you up to date via facebook and our website www.irishaccordionassociation.com
