Traci-3 pump commissioningHNP 11558Traci-3 AIDA started commissioning in February.1st find a good operational range of the pump Pump is expensive and may not be destroyed due to stupiditiesMain concern: How to avoid overloadingHigh dP at low flows is bad for the pump due to large self heating = cavitations risk

Traci has 2 flow circuits: Experimental flow and by-pass flowWith a small experiment flow the by-pass must be openA safe way is having the by-pass open at all times. Drawback: higher pump flow may reduce operation at high temperatures.When large experiment flows are present, by-pass can be closed to gain capacity at high temperaturesBest approach, but not advisable to inexperienced users: Close the by-pass the same way as the experimental valve is closed, as if they are gear connected.

The 1st operation of the pump and comparison to the performance curves measured in the pump test stand revealed a wrong control of the pump.Was corrected with the proper jumper settings in the control
