• Now part of the Better Care Fund commissioning remit
• Much variability around service (recent Daily Mail article)
• Average spend down. Some wait times moved up unacceptably

Housing Associations
• HIA’s support delivery of major adaptations for about 50% of all DFG instances
• RSL’s role in HIA provision. (38 % of HIA provision)
• RSL contracts with local authorities determine respective contributions

Summary
Funding will remain tight(obviously) so key are: • Helping self funders an important part of mixed
economies • Closer working with Health and Care community at an
early stage. Emphasis on pre-emption and prevention especially when Care Act Guidance emerges
• Making the case and arguing the case (because there is a strong case to be made)
• Resilience • Imagination and leadership to execute bold step-changes
