If not using theplayer for a longtime, switch off theplayer using the Power button at the front, do not keep the

player in standby. This will reduce power consumption and help theenvironment.

No Picture. (Splash Screen)

Not Playing discs.

Screen not filled.

Will not SKIP or SEARCH

No Sound.

Ensure no direct sunlight is onthe R/C window.

Batteries lowObject in path of signal

Replace batteries.Ensure the Remote control canbe seen by theplayer.

POSSIBLE CAUSE REMEDY

Player not turned on.

TV input not selected

Disc rating incorrect.

Press POWER Button in.

Press OPEN/CLOSE to confirmpower is getting toplayer.

Check connections to Tv ensuring SCARTplug if used is plugged in fully at bothends.

If the Tv does not automatically select theDVD player, see your Tv user manual toselect the SCART input.

This player is set to Region 2Ensure the disc is placed label side up.

Set the player tothe correctrating for the disc.

Condensation on the DVD lens can beremoved by allowing the player to warmup 1-2 hrs.

Check disc for damage

Enter SETUP menu. Selectanother screen format.

Some discs have no Chapters.

Most discs will not SKIP when WARNINGand Opening titles are shown.

Check SCART lead if used, or otheraudio lead connections.

Check connections to External amplifier.

Ensure External amplifier is turned onand the correct input is selected.

Mains Plug Replacement.

IMPORTANTFor you r safety. If the mains plug needs replacing , proceed as fo llow s :-DO NOT CONNECT THE CENTRE PIN (EARTH).Connect the Blue wire to the (N) terminal ( this may be coloured blue).

Connect the Brown wi re to the (L) terminal adjacent to the fuse ( this may b e coloured brown ).This appliance must h ave a 3A fuse fitted.
