AboutDiscover 2012Discover 2012 is the largest international delegate in AIESEC Hong Kong. With 270 delegates from different backgrounds, we wish to:

1. To provide an equally memorable conference experience for all delegates.

2. To leverage on external resources for members’ learning & development.

3. To provide a platform for discovering more about one self, the others, AIESEC, and the relevance to society.

AboutHong Kong

Hong Kong is on the eastern side of the Pearl River Delta on the southeastern coast of China, facing the South China Sea in the south, and bordering Guangdong Province in the north. It has one of the world’s most liberal economies and is a major interna-tional centre of finance and trade.

Hong Kong was a British colony from 1842, until its sovereignty was transferred to the PRC in 1997. It is governed as special ad-ministrative region (SAR) under the Basic Law of Hong Kong. Under the terms of the Sino-British Joint Declaration, the PRC has promised that Hong Kong will have a relatively high degree of autonomy until at least 2047, fifty years after the transfer of sovereignty. Under the “One Country, Two

Systems” policy, it retains its own legal system, currency, customs policy, cultural delegation, international sport teams, and immigration laws.

With its historical background, Hong Kong is a city where East and West meet in many areas in daily life. With its unique back-ground and mixed culture, Hong Kong is a fascinating place to visit.

Events

Day 1Day 1 will start with a Global Village at 4PM at the registration venue (TBC). We would like all the in-ternational delegates and facilitators to join and showcase your country’s culture to HK!

Day 2Day 2 will be the Developing Leaders Day. We will have forums and sessions organised by our partners. Please bring a business casual attire for the day

Day 3Day 3 will include sessions for delegates to Discover AIESEC through various activities and ses-sions. The conference will end at 6PM on this day
