Message from the Local Committee President
Hello!
Like you, I was once a student who just entered university, and was unsure of my next path. I am very sure that the main question that could possibly be running through your mind is “What is AIESEC?” or even “Why should I join AIESEC?”
I could reiterate the same reason again that AIESEC is a global network, present in 126 countries and territories (its true though) and mention the vast network that it has, but I would like to bring you a little personal story.
I too, was unsure what AIESEC does, and took a leap of faith into the unknown; with the mindset that if all fails, I could just leave and continue my normal university life. That is, until I experienced my own AIESEC journey.
When I went on an exchange to Laos in education under AIESEC in January 2016, I experienced first-hand how AIESEC shaped me. I have seen through my own eyes, how a single youth can impact the people around him/her. Imagine the possibilities, if we increase hundredfold, or thousandfold? That, I believe, is the power of AIESEC.

Who we are
AIESEC in South Australia is one of many local committees from across the globe who strives to help young people to explore, grow and develop oneself and their leadership potential through purposeful experiences.
AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit, youth-run organisation. We do not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion nor on the basis of national or social origin.

We believe that sustainable, informed and globally-minded leadership can help us solve many of today’s challenges.
To do this, we provide a platform for young people to gain confidence, experience and learn quickly from past mistakes. We enable them to see the world, discover discover solutions to issues that truly matters to them and make a real difference by creating a positive and social impact.
It is every young person’s responsibility to take a positive role shaping the future of our planet. We believe that every young person deserves the chance, and tools, to fulfil their potential.

OGX Programs
AIESEC in South Australia provides two life-changing exchange programs for students and young people: Global Citizen & Global Talent. As members, you will nurture potential leads and customers as they go through the customer flow.
Global Citizen - Volunteering AbroadAIESEC aims to provide students volunteering exchange program experiences that range from 6 to 8 weeks. Projects range from literacy education to health and environment. While they are generally non-paid opportunities, students often receive stipends and basic support services like food and accommodations.
Global Talent - Intern AbroadThe Global Talent Program provides an opportunity for young people to discover and develop themselves through professional work experience in another country. It allows them to gain relevant skills in the field of teaching, marketing, sales and IT while living in a foreign cultural environment for 3-12 months.

Outgoing Global Community Development Program
The oGCDP portfolio manages Global Citizen volunteering exchange programs, providing students with the best AIESEC experience. Our goal is to reach out to the youth and allow them to solve world issues through volunteering overseas.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand the role and of the significance of AIESEC and
maximise opportunity during peak and off-peak periods
• Manage potential leads and exchange participants as they go through
the AIESEC customer flow
• Managing event and sales team, ensuring that team members are
actively participating
• Supervise event planning and delivery with overall responsibility
• Monitoring and progressing project deliverables ensuring targets,
timelines, controls and quality parameters are met
• Analyse sales activity to inform business decisions
• Provide regular reports to the Director of oGCDP
• Attend major operational activities
• Attend all training session, local committee meetings, portfolio
meetings and team meetings to stay up-to-date

Outgoing Global Internship Program
The oGIP portfolio manages Global Talent internship exchange programs to students who wish to gain practical and cultural experience with a company, school or organisation overseas. We want young people to develop new skills in an international environment as they explore new cultures.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain contact with interns before, during and after their
exchange program.
• Arrange and attend consultation chats potential leads & customers
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain relationship with EPs
• Tracking EP matching process and make sure always following for each
status
• Track KPIs, MoS and documentations such as contracts
• Organise oGIP formal and attraction events for lead generation
• Analyse and develop reports for oGIP related events and activities
• Cooperate with other portfolios and the organising committee
• Attend major operational activities
• Attend all training session, local committee meetings, portfolio
meetings and team meetings to stay up-to-date

Marketing & Communications
The MaC portfolio aims to develop marketing strategies that defines and identify the target market of South Australia. Our goal is to find ways to sell our exchange programs as well as produce digital and physical content for promotions and branding.
Key Responsibilities
• Market researching online trends and behaviours
• Planning & developing creative campaign strategies to increase brand
awareness, online engagement and lead generation
• Manage online promotions and advertisements
• Manage social media and engaging with facebook users
• Manage landing page & SEO optimisation
• Emailing visitors about the latest news and events
• Track KPIs, MoS, conversion rates events & online activities
• Conducting market research and focus groups on current EPs and
customers
• Consulting with OGX Portfolio members
• Understand the branding and design guidelines of AIESEC
• Plan & develop creative ideas, solutions & content for targeted
audiences
• Manage responsibilities of intellectual property, copyrighted media,
consent of talents and locations etc.
• Design and produce flyers, posters and marketing materials for
distribution

Public Relations
The PR portfolio maintains professional relationships and partnerships with external organisations, business and communities to develop the image branding of AIESEC. We want our Local Committee to strive in a well established community while expanding operations to inaccessible areas.
Key Responsibilities
• Planning, developing and implementing PR strategies
• Liaising with colleagues and key spokespeople
• Liaising with and answering enquiries from media, individuals and other
organisations, often via telephone and email
• Researching, writing and distributing press releases to targeted media
• Collating and analysing media coverage
• Writing and editing in-house magazines, case studies, speeches, articles
and annual reports
• Organising events including press conferences, exhibitions, open days
and press tours
• Maintaining and updating information on the organisation’s website
• Managing and updating information and engaging with users on social
media sites such as Twitter and Facebook
• Sourcing and managing speaking and sponsorship opportunities
• Fostering community relations through events such as open days and
through involvement in community initiatives
• Managing the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.

The F&G portfolio F&G is a process-oriented portfolio that overlooks how operations and funds of the Local Committee is managed in a professional and systematic manner. We ensure that the quality control of the exchange pipeline is sustainable, so that every young person involved with us is provided with a positive and impactful experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Managing portfolio and event budgets
• Data entry and analysing information with excel and Google Sheets
• Manage administration documents and financial forms
• Provide consistent work ethics and able to meet strict deadlines
• Show professionalism when dealing with related issues and matters

The TM portfolio manages human resources and talents, facilitating members with the best AIESEC experience. We ensure that members are working effectively to the best of their ability as well as their leadership development.

AIESEC: Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (This is what AIESEC used to stand for, but given that our members come from many different backgrounds we refer to the organization as AIESEC, plain and simple)
BD: Business Development
CEED: Cultural Envoy for Exchange Development (An international AIESECer who goes to another LC in order to help them with their operations)
