SHARINGS FROM S.E.P INTERNSBefore, I came here I heard many bad things about Vietnam, like it is a

communist country so govt. is bad, traffic is terrible blah blah. But from my last 7 weeks experience, I would like to say that those People were

completely wrong! My past 7 weeks were the best 7 weeks in my life! Prakash - India

Teaching sex education at high-schools, shelters, and a pagoda left a great impression on me. My wish for this project is to continue in the future and achieve the kind of impact and

sustainability, it is striving for, and if people continue working on it in a dedicated way, I can only imagine for it to succeed.

If someone asks me to choose the best experience in 2013, or even in my life, I will definitely say “I went to Vietnam, stayed with local family, worked with local

Vietnamese”. Living and working in Vietnam made reflect myself as a Korean, a westernised Asian, a nursing student, and a world citizen.

I loved working with AIESECers and interns from different countries. Two months is not really enough time to get to know each other but I cried a lot at airport, still feel sad when I think back my last day in Saigon. All AIESERers were incredibly kind to

me. They really work hard for interns and their own tasks. Interns from different backgrounds and characteristics gave me a strong motivation as a team member and for my career. I was fully satisfied with AIESEC programmes and support in HCMC

soI am planning to apply for GIP internship program something related to my major in university.

Gemma - Korean

During the internship,we went to the shelter and school to promote the sex knowledge. I consider sex education as one of important topics in the world

nowadays. And that’s the reason why I choose this project. Then,we also taught English to the students in Cu Chi.I think it would be the most special

experience in this project because it is my first time to be a teacher.Huan -Taiwan

Thanks to AIESEC and the interns the S.E.P. project was a success. I don’t regret any moment of my stay in Vietnam and taking part in

the S.E.P. project was an unique experience. After this summer internship I know I can achieve whatever I want.  I just have the

believe in myself and others and work really hard .Andrea - Netherland

SHARINGS FROM S.E.P INTERNSSEP has been a very meaningful experience, I really feel like we’ve made an impact in the high schools we visited and the pagoda. Young Vietnamese people are eager to

learn, they constantly ask a lot of questions because they want to learn more. The abortion rate in HCMC is very high, and the number of people with HIV too, but I

really felt that it is just a problem of communication. The high school students knew nothing about sex, mostly because their parents didn't want to talk about it. They

really wanted to learn as much as possible in order not to make mistakes they could regret later.

Melanie - France

From my one month stay in Ho Chi Minh City, I changed from being scared and cautious to falling in love with this country and everything about it. Looking back, I miss the motorbike rides, the friendly people, and all the amazing

foods and drinks of Vietnam.Katie - USA

It was an amazing experience to live and have imternship in Vietnam. Thank you very much to all the people I met:

interns, Ocs, students, members of AIESEC Vietnam. Keep you smart and hard work!

Agin - Indonesia

The host entity was very friendly and supportive. I have made a lot of friends and from now on I will

recommended everyone to at least once go to Vietnam on AIESEC GCDP experience.

My advice is : do, contribute, experience as much as possible. Having the sense of belonging from experiencing the different

culture and the stories made me grow a lot and because of that, I chose to contribute more for S.E.P project and Vietnam society. I challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone, educating the

youth about sex education, being a platform in Camp for students to speak up and share. I’m grateful for being here and fulfill how

little things I witnesses and did impact someone.I’m not telling you it’s gonna be easyI’m telling you it’s gonna be worthy

When I came to Vietnam, it was far from imagining how grateful and life-changing this project would be. I’ve met some of the most interesting people ever and I’ve made

friends for life. We are just a small part of big change in the education of Vietnam but we’ve done our job well. I

believed we have made a difference. I also believed the future of Vietnam will be bright with all the youngsters I’ve

met. Thank you S.E.P! Thank you Vietnam!Pedro- Portugal

This was a truly international experience for both sides. At first they were so shy, so polite. But I tried my best to break their mask and thinking of that awesome party at the end of the project I consider this

mission as accomplished. We talked about sex, abortion, unusual family types and politics during our

classes in Global Passport. I've never met so thankful sincere people in my life. Every effort the other teachers and I put in their education they literally loved us for. And I really hope so much to see them again one day and to give them a big hug to be

as thankful for the experience!Susane - Germany

After the past few weeks when it was the end of my time in Ho Chi Minh City, I was feeling that I did something to improve their English. So that

feeling I have, the feeling that I have succeeded in helping them learning English, it was a really

invigorating experience for me.  Plus, the teachers and the administration really helped me a lot and

tried to motivate me.Begüm - Turkey

The time in ho chi minh with Aiesec is wonderful!!! I participated in a teaching

programme call All for Children which let me met dozens of super-cute kindergarten kids!!! We

taught them English, Maths and even did some science experiments! During leisure time,

Aiesecers and all the volunteers would always hang out. We have city tour, events, games,

travelling and a lot of fun stuffs. They are one of the nicest group of people I have ever met!

This is really a unforgettable 6 weeks !! Thank you Aiesec of Ho Chi Minh!
