His aikido style is graceful, with an emphasis on full and committed body movement. These training days are an extension of Sugano Shihan’s direct teachings and a special effort should be made to attend the entire weekend. TTC training days have the following features:- Have a structure and a theme and are actually presented as a course, not just as a number of separate classes. Provide intensive training, having at least 3 hours per day training, over 2 or more days. Are taught by the most senior instructors in Aiki-Kai Australia, all being ranked 6 th dan or above Focus on the technical direction set by Sugano Shihan, including the grading syllabus. Provide the opportunity for members of the Dan grading committee in particular, and for other senior instructors to observe and get to know, students from across Australia. Are part of the prerequisites for dan gradings Venue: Clifton Hill Dojo, Athol Gill Centre, 100 Hodgkinson St., Clifton Hill Merchandise Pickup: 12:30-1pm Saturday Training Sat/Sun: 1pm to 4pm Grading Sat 4.15pm Training Fees: 2 days full/concession /regular instructor $35/$25 1 day full/concession/regular instructor $25/15 After the grading, Aikido Victoria is hosting a Post-Summer School Recovery dinner! Summer School Volunteers, students and family are welcome to join us share delicious food provided by Kara's Kalamaki Greet Street Food Truck (http://www.greekstreetfood.com.au/ ). Souvlaki (lamb, chicken, pork and felafel), chips, salad, dips and pita, as well as drinks will be available. GRADING INFORMATION Grading forms - students are required to obtain sign off from each dojo where the student trains

as well as from the recommending instructor. Student and/or instructor to send completed grading form/intention to grade email to

[email protected] (strongly preferred), or ring 0418 391 674 or 9802 7211 (ah) with their name and intended kyu grading no later than the Wednesday 11th March. Failure to do so may result in the student being unable to grade.

o Students intending to grade should have discussed and agreed with their instructor prior to grading day and are expected to attend at least one training session on the day. Please ensure you are at the dojo by 12:30pm to register for grading.

o Gradings are a formal event, we expect all students to participate by staying on the mat. Photography and video is prohibited.

Grading Fees: 1st/2nd kyu $30 3rd-5th kyu $20

Students are required to present a current Aiki-Kai membership card (or proof of payment) in order totrain. Please bring your membership book for TTC stamp, this forms part of dan grade attendancerecords. Books will be returned via a dojo representative and not on the day.

Summer School Merchandise Last Chance!The final remaining stock of Iwata merchandise from Summer School is available for purchase and pickup at the March TTC. Victorians are getting first pick before they are to be offered to the interstaters, soif you weren't sure during Summer School, this is your last chance!
