The event produced by Mae Espe- na, Gerrievelle and Anne Guinto was hosted by the vivacious TFC Connect Katambayer Raymund Recamadas who brought down the Boy Scout Theatre in Hawally to laughter with his antics and adlibs. Spotted during the concert were Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait Renato Pedro Villa, Consul General Atty Raul Dado with wife Chelsie, Holy Family Cathedral Parish Priest Rev Fr Ramong ‘Monching’ Atanacio and PCK Chairman Ferdie Dionisio. “We would like to thank everyone who came today and watch our con- cert. We’re not only mounting a good show but at the same time this is for a noble cause,” stated Dionisio. Meanwhile, Ambassador Villa lauded the PCK for organising the concert for a cause and congratulated all the performers for going out of their way to share their talents for a good cause. The performers under the tutelage of Stage Director Gerald Garret Guinto showcased world-class talents. Among those who took centre stage were the Kooperatiba ng Magga- gawang Pinay sa Kuwait (KMPK) Group, New Kuwait Phil. Int’l School (NKPIS) Group, Virtouso Group of Philippine International English School (PIES), Next Episode Crew Dancers and he Filipino Cultural Club (FCC) members. The audience were thrilled and entertained by the repertoire of songs and bombastic choreography of the performer. By Michelle Fe Santiago Arab Times Staff A way from the hustle and bustle of city life and street noise, the Alliance in Motion Global Kuwait led by Rosita Ortiz and Khalid Sinan celebrated Kuwait’s national and liberation days in communion with nature by organising the two-day “Farm Festival” this weekend in their farm in Wafra, near the Kuwait-Saudi border. Nestled in scenic green, with lush trees and vegetables in the middle of the Kuwait desert, AIM Global Kuwait officers and members were greeted to a delightful and refreshing sight of the countryside as they ar- rived one by one in convoy of cars. Tents dotted the farm that served as their quarters for the rest of the Farm Festival. Ortiz and Sinan welcomed everyone warmly to the farm and urged them to feel at home and have fun. “We have organised this Farm Festival to give everyone a chance to relax this holiday. For a change, we’re doing this here while the weather is just perfect for outdoor activities. It’s a time to rekindle friendship and meet new friends too. This is what we call Oneness and Happiness,” quipped Ortiz. Performance The Farm Festival kicked off with a brief programme with the dance presentation of the Boys Group that danced to the hit song “Totoy Bibo” as they grooved gracefully to the beat. The Power Girls Group also had a bombastic dance performance of “Dayang-Dayang,” toppling the Boys Group and emerging as winner in the dance competition. The brief programme was followed by a series of parlour games like “Ma- ria Went to Town, Paluan ng Palayok and many more. The over-all winner got an all expense paid trip to Dubai. Other winners also received valuable prizes and surprises. One of the highlights of the first day was the “Tilapia Fishing” in the man-made pond. Everyone had fun as some members threw out the fish net to take some delectable huge Tilapias from the pond. Some were lucky to fish out the huge ones as everyone clapped and cheered for every catch. At night they had bonfire and din- ner served and on Saturday, the fun continued with more games to the delight of all the attendees. Finally Sinan thanked all those who joined in the Farm Festival as AIM Global Kuwait plans to do similar events in the future. “We hope to see everyone again and let’s have more fun. The Pinoy Catholics in Kuwait (PCK) organised on Friday a mu-

sical show for a cause dubbed “God Thank You For The Music Benefi t Concert” to help raise funds for the construction of the Bahrain Cathedral and for the cancer patients in Kuwait.
