MonksrewroteGalen’swork,instructedbytheChurch,sonewphysiciansinuniversitieslearntfromGalenratherthanpracticalexperience

Galenstayedimportant,becausetherewerenootherideas(scientificorlogical)toexplainillness.DissectionsweremostlyillegalbecausetheChurchbelievedthebodyshouldbeburiedinwhole.Sometimesacriminalcouldbedissected

Hippocrates,thenGalensaidthebodywasclearlyDESIGNED,differentpartsworkingtogetherinbalance,andbelievinginasoul,fittedinwiththeChurch’sideas,believingGodcreatedmaninhisimagesopromotedtheAncientideas.
