ITINERARY

DAY ZERO: Saturday, 23rd June, 2012 – DEPART KUALA LUMPUR

! Flight yet to be confirmed. Most probably Air Asia X.

DAY ONE: Sunday, 24th June, 2012 – SYDNEY ARRIVAL (meals/movies in flight)! Arrive into Sydney! Collect your luggage, meet your local Australian Tour Manager and load the

coaches.! Depart on a Sydney Orientation Tour including stops in the Central Business District, Eastern Suburbs

and Bondi Beach.! Lunch on own.

! Mid-afternoon, transfer and check in to your hotel (TBC).

! Dinner (own arrangements)

! Afterwards, attend the Festival Opening Concert for all participating groups.

DAY TWO: Monday, 25th June, 2012 - SYDNEY (B) – Workshop ! Breakfast as a group at the hotel.

! This morning, transfer to a venue in Sydney (TBC – possibly Angel Place or Sydney Town Hall).

! Enjoy a 1-hour workshop for both Choir & Concert Band with a member of the Festival Faculty.

! Lunch on your own in Sydney.

! Dinner on own in Sydney and the rest of this evening is free.

DAY THREE: Tuesday, 26th June, 2012 - SYDNEY (B) – Performance #1! Breakfast as a group at the hotel.

! Depart for Sydney!s Taronga Zoo where you will be able see both international and native animals suchas kangaroos and koalas!!

! Lunch on your own at the park.

! Early afternoon, board the coaches and return to the hotel.

! Upon arrival back to the hotel, freshen up and change into your performance attire.

! Transfer to Angel Place City Recital Hall (TBC).

! Upon arrival, sound check on stage.

! Afterwards, depart for dinner on own nearby. Return to Angel Place.

! Adjudicated performance for both Choir and Concert Band as part of this evening !s Festival Concert atAngel Place City Recital Hall (TBC) (20 minute performance length each).

! Afterwards, return to the hotel.

DAY FOUR: Wednesday, 27th June, 2012 - SYDNEY (B,D) – Performance #2 ! Breakfast as a group at the hotel. Late morning, board the coaches and transfer to the Sydney Opera

House. Upon arrival you will move through Stage Door and to your holding space backstage to storeyour instruments.

! Lunch on your own nearby and return to the Sydney Opera House. Performance as part of thisafternoon!s Festival Concert in the Concert Hall (20 minute performance length each – no soundcheck). You will also have the opportunity to hear other Festival ensembles perform this afternoon.

! Afterwards, load the coaches and return instruments to the hotel. Dinner as a group in Sydney and therest of this evening is free.

DAY FIVE: Thursday, 28th June, 2012 - SYDNEY (B, D) – Rehearsal Exchange ! Breakfast as a group at the hotel.

! This morning enjoy a Guided Walking Tour of the Historic Rock !s District in Sydney – one of the oldestsettled areas in the country!

! Lunch on own in Sydney.

! Enjoy a Rehearsal Exchange for the concert band this afternoon with another participating Festival

DAY SIX: Friday, 29th June, 2012 - SYDNEY (B) – Mass Choral Rehearsal & Performance #3 & 4 ! Breakfast as a group at the hotel.

! Mass Choral Rehearsal this morning with all other participating choirs (TBC).

! Late morning, board the coaches with your instruments and transfer to Darling Harbour !s Harbourside.

! Lunch on your own at Darling Harbour !s Harbourside. Setup for your outdoor performance. Outdoorperformance for the Concert Band at the Harbourside Amphitheatre at Darling Harbour (45 minuteset). Afterwards, some free time to explore Darling Harbour on your own. Possibly visit the MaritimeMuseum (own arrangements ) or do some shopping. Late afternoon, board the coaches and return tothe hotel. Dinner on own in Sydney. Performance for the choir as part of this evening!s Choral Concertin St Andrews Cathedral.

DAY SEVEN: Saturday, 30th June, 2012 - SYDNEY (B,D) – Mass Choral Performance ! Breakfast as a group at the hotel.

! This morning, enjoy a Harbour Cruise on Sydney !s magnificent Harbour. Lunch on your own followedby some free time this afternoon for independent shopping and sightseeing.

! Farewell Dinner as a group to celebrate your Sydney Performance Tour. Afterwards, transfer to theSydney Town Hall or the Sydney Opera House (TBC). Attend (or perform in if you are the Adjudicator!schoice) the Festival Command Performance in the Sydney Town Hall – Centennial Hall. Mass ChoralPerformance as part of this evening!s Mass Choral Work. After the concert, enjoy the Festival ClosingParty. Afterwards, return to the hotel.

DAY EIGHT: Sunday, 1st July, 2012 - SYDNEY – HOME (B, meals/movies inflight)

! Breakfast as a group at the hotel. Check out of the hotel and transfer to Sydney International Airport.Arrive at Sydney International Airport and check in for your flight. Depart Sydney.
