Aims and Considerations sheet Existing Products: How many existing artefacts do you feel you will need to look at? I feel that I will look at 4–5 different artefacts so that I can see how others have displayed their information and how they reached their targeted audiences and how they handled any sensitive issues that they may have come across. What kinds of artefacts are you expecting to look at? I will look at several different kinds of artefacts from campaigns similar to time; such as environmental campaign posters, social media pages, key chains and other artefacts that relate to the campaign that I’m focusing on. What elements will you look at to help you with your research? Some elements that I’ll look at to help me with my research are checking how some environmental campaign posters have been designed and how everything is orientated, the information that they’ve used and how they've presented it. Primary Research: How many people would you hope to question as part of your primary research? I would hope to ask at least 5-10 people as part of my primary research to give me a range of different answers to my questions about how people believe we impact the environment. What methods will you use? The method I will most likely use for my primary research will be creating a survey on Survey Monkeyand then posting it on Facebook, this will give me a range of answers and I can reach more people quicker. Could there be issues in getting access to people affected by your chosen social issue? I don’t feel that there is any specific group of people that would create an issue with an environmental campaign when I try to get access to them. How will you know if your research has been successful?

Aims and Considerations sheet

Existing Products:How many existing artefacts do you feel you will need to look at?

I feel that I will look at 4–5 different artefacts so that I can see how others have displayed their information and how they reached their targeted audiences and how they handled any sensitive issues that they may have come across. What kinds of artefacts are you expecting to look at?

I will look at several different kinds of artefacts from campaigns similar to time; such as environmental campaign posters, social media pages, key chains and other artefacts that relate to the campaign that I’m focusing on.What elements will you look at to help you with your research?

Some elements that I’ll look at to help me with my research are checking how some environmental campaign posters have been designed and how everything is orientated, the information that they’ve used and how they've presented it.

Primary Research:How many people would you hope to question as part of your primary research?

I would hope to ask at least 5-10 people as part of my primary research to give me a range of different answers to my questions about how people believe we impact the environment.

What methods will you use?

The method I will most likely use for my primary research will be creating a survey on Survey Monkeyand then posting it on Facebook, this will give me a range of answers and I can reach more people quicker.Could there be issues in getting access to people affected by your chosen social issue?

I don’t feel that there is any specific group of people that would create an issue with an environmental campaign when I try to get access to them.

How will you know if your research has been successful?

I will know if my research has been successful because I should have several different answers to my questionnaire which will help with my development.

Considerations:Why might you need to be sensitive when carrying out research on social action issues?

I might want to be sensitive about certain areas or subjects when carrying out my research because some people might find them offensive or insulting to them or to others.

Could you face any problems when trying to research social action issues? If so, is there a way to overcome these?

I don’t think that I could face any problems when trying to research my issue because there isn’t any subject that could be sensitive to talk about.Where would you expect your finished pieces to be displayed and distributed?

I would probably expect to find my finished pieces to be displayed in schools to reach people as young as I can to make them aware about our impact on the environment. I would also hope to see my work on social media so that more people can see it. What funding issues might a social action organisation face?

Some funding issues that a social action organisation might face could be are that the people who fund them could ask them to post something that they might be against, but would have too or they would lose their funding. What ethical considerations might you need to think about?

I don’t think there are any ethical considerations that I will need to think about because my chosen social issue is about the environment and there aren’t any areas about my issue that could be considered unethical. How could social, personal and political issues affect your research?

I don’t think there are any social issues that could possibly affect my research because Some personal issues that could affect my research are that I might just focus on one specific part of my research because I personally feel that it’s the most important.I don’t think there are any political issues that could affect my research because politics wont have anything to do with my research. How could the community characteristics and their resources affect your research?

The community and their resources could affect my research by deigning me access to certain information which would slow my research down or giving me access which would speed up my research.
