The AirPlus Corporate Card now offers programme administrators a market-leading level of control over card- holder spending. Card Controls allow you to place limits on spend by day or week, by merchant category, geographically or by type of transaction. You can now make instant, live changes to your programme at the click of a button and access Card Controls 24 hours a day via the AirPlus Portal.

Card Controls allow you make instant changes to:

Card Limits – Daily or weekly limits can be imposed. You can also limit the amount allowed per transaction

Location – Spend can be locked down to specific geographic locations, by region or individual country depending on your policy

Currency – Spend can also be controlled and locked down to certain currencies

Merchant Category – Choose from 14 main categories, or even drill down to individual merchant categories

Cardholder not present transactions – Can be blocked and unblocked as required

All of these controls can be changed at the touch of a button, meaning administrators still have flexibility should unexpected circumstances arise.

How Card Controls can be used in practice:

Large corporate card programmes

When you have hundreds or even thousands of travellers spend can be difficult and timely to maintain control over. Putting card controls in place saves time and gives adminis-trators complete peace of mind to focus on other tasks.

Smaller corporate card programmes or SMEs

When you’re running a smaller programme or an SME, having a full time member of staff to control travel spend isn’t always possible. Using Card Controls you can ensure all spend on corporate cards is within policy.
