Devarajula Reddy at Tech Carnival Fest th 69 INDEPENDENCE DAY T-DAY KRISHNAPUSHKARALU COMPETITIONS SAP AWARENESS PROGRAMME HELPING HANDS 2 Session by IC Leaders with AITians PAPER PRESENTATIONS BY AITS FACULTY As per the instructions issued by the Hon'ble CM of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu garu to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Krishna Pushkaralu, various competitions like essay writing, elocution, dance, th painting, etc., were held on 13 August 2016 and toppers were appreciated. SAP Awareness Programme was organized by the department of MBA on 17th August 2016 at AITS, Tirupati campus, to enlighten the importance of SAP course in the industry. Sri. P. Lakshmi Narasa Reddy, worked as SAP Consultant at IBM, Pune was the resource person of this programme. The Department of Management Studies has organised “Helping Hands” Programme on 26th August 2016 to help the poor and needy and to inculcate philanthropic attitude in students. Faculty members & Students visited ABHAYA KSHETHRAM near Renigunta on th the occasion of 'Mother Teresas 106 birth anniversary. Mr. Giridhar evaluated the 34 apps which are developed by the students of CSE and gave certicates of appreciation for 7 apps based on the thinking, technology used and scope. 100 hours of Incubation was given to the students as gift and extended their hands to help students in their career. Felicitation to the Guests was done by Sri. C. Gangi Reddy, Sri. C. Yella Reddy, and by our Principal, Dr. C. Nadhamuni Reddy. Interactive session with faculty members was also arranged at the end of the session. Sri. C. Gangi Reddy, recommended students to select a role model and follow to build their life to achieve success in their lives with motto of “Be a Job Provider than Job Taker”. 2 A Session with IC was conducted on 26th of August 2016 at AITS, Tirupati campus. Mr. Giridhar, CEO & Founder, 7-in-Q, introduced as Host Incubator in Andhra Pradesh, advised students to take their dreams forward with discipline and perseverance to achieve their goals. Mr. Glenn Robinson, Program Manager, University of Texas, Austin told the works done by George Kamersky. He explained that the students are to be provided with job opportunities instead of outsourcing their skills. Innovation, Creativity and Capital are the needed things of the hour. Invention and Entrepreneurship are needed to make a Technopolis. Local People are to be communicated and nd out their works, analyze and try to give a solution technically which is also of quality and also available in reduced cost. 85% of new ideas fail, mainly not because of technology or funding, but by not providing a market for the technology with real world problems. Students should pass along their ideas plus knowledge to improve the community and nation as a whole. Mr. Vishal Khanna, Senior Assistant Director, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), New Delhi, told that 448 innovators created 3000 jobs and 45% of them are women. He gave instances of students who had innovative ideas, submitted their ideas and been funded with rupees from 10 lakhs to 10 crores. The Government of India and Andhra Pradesh, initiative of Make in India will be a success only if we think beyond and take a step by show casing it in India Innovative Program, which will help Government to know about us and our research. Speaking on this occasion, Principal, Dr. C. Nadamuni Reddy stated that it is very important for Civil Engineering Students to learn structural designs of offshore constructions since this gives a very good career opportunities. th 69 Independence Day was celebrated on 15th August 2016. Vice- Chairman Sri.C.Yella Reddy hoisted the ag. Speaking on this occasion Principal, Dr. C. Nadamuni Reddy gave an excellent speech on human relations, especially on Teacher – student relationship in the scenario. Later Prizes were distributed to the students who won in different competitions. nd On 22 August 2016 T-Day was conducted by the MBA Department. In order to create the interaction session with the Hods and the faculty of different departments rst year students were asked to get signatures on their T-Shirt from Principal, Heads of various department and faculty members as a token of remembrance on their rst day of the college. Secretary Sri. C. Gangi Reddy said that students who have technical skills will get good jobs anywhere across the globe. Otherwise they have to settle in mediocre and small jobs. be creator's will and wish to invest some more time on you to carry on. Hence it's a divine gift to

have a today for you. Individual should realize the importance of time and fulll the

expectations desired from by the almighty and our attitudes, manners, values and efforts must

As per the instructions issued by the Hon'ble CM of

Andhra Pradesh, Sri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu garu to

celebrate the auspicious occasion of Krishna Pushkaralu,

various competitions like essay writing, elocution, dance, thpainting, etc., were held on 13 August 2016 and toppers

were appreciated.

SAP Awareness Programme was organized by the

department of MBA on 17th August 2016 at AITS, Tirupati

PAPER PRESENTATION

National Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st May

2016. The faculty and the students of different Engineering

departments participated and performed Yoga. The

Correspondent Sri C. Gangi Reddy also participated and

revealed the importance of Yoga.

One day Seminar Programme was conducted on

Advances in Transportation Engineering in the Department thof Civil on 14 July 2016. Prof. G. Bhaskara from CDM Smith

company, Dubai was the Chief Guest of this Seminar.

Addressing a seminar on “Role of Youth in Nation

Building and Corruption free Society” Sri. Vijaya Babu

urged the youth to follow the footsteps of Annamacharya,

Mahatma Gandhi and other role models, to become good

human beings.

Workshop on Manual Robotics was conducted by ththe EEE Department on 18 July 2016 by II Club of Robotic

Company, Hyderabad. The II CLUB had given training to

the students in the eld of designing, construction,

operation, and application of Robotics with real time

practical experience. Nearly 110 students were taken part

in this workshop. Among them 15 students were selected for

free training Programme at Hyderabad. The Principal,

Dr. C. Nadamuni Reddy stated that the best model will be

selected and will be exhibited at NIT Gowhati Science fare.

LLK Software Solutions has conducted campus drive thon 20 July 2016 in AITS – Tirupati campus. Principal, Dr. C.

Nadamuni Reddy in his ofcial statement told that 200

students participated in this drive. Among them 30

members were selected for written examination. And 20

members were nally selected for technical round. The

Human Resource Manager Sri. Daniel stated that the

selected candidates will be appointed as Testing Engineers

by the Company. The Principal, Dr. C. Nadamuni Reddy,

Secretary, Sri . Gangi Reddy, Joint Secretary Ms. Pujitha,

Vice-Chairman Sri C. Yella reddy and Placement Ofcer,

Mr. T. Lokesh congratulated the selected candidates.

People Against Corruption founder president

M. Srikanth Reddy stressed the need to ght corruption

through inculcating ethical behaviour among children. He

advised the students to stay united and ght for the rights of

the down trodden.

th On 15 July 2016, another feather has added in the

cap of Annamarcharya Institute of Technology and

Sciences, T i rupati Branch by National Board of

Accrediation (NBA, New Delhi). The college was

accredited by NBA for B.Tech courses in Computer Science

Engineering., Electrical and Electronics Engineering and

Electronics and Communication Engineering. The

Inspection committee visited the campus during April 1st -

3rd April 2016. The facilities provided by the college to the

students were inspected. Exhaustive assessments were

conducted on college library, laboratory facilities, lecture

notes, course les of the faculty members. They assessed

students' performance and Research and Development

cell's report on future research by the experienced faculty

members with doctorates. The committee also interacted

with Alumni, parents and Faculty.

A Seminar on Right to Information Programme (RTI)

thwas conducted on 16 July 2016. Sri P. Vijaya Babu, RTI

Commissioner for Andhra Pradesh and Telegana states was

the Chief Guest. The dais was also shared by other Guest Mr.

M. Srikanth Reddy, President, People Against Corruption; Sri.

C. Gangi Reddy, Correspondent and Dr.C.Nadamuni

Reddy, Principal.

On this occasion, he told the signicance of

Transport functions and various aspects related to

engineering students; the innovations in railways and the

need for improvisation and modernisation in Roadways

and Railways. Final year Civil Engineering students took part

in the seminar.

th On 8 July 2016, Vanabharathi-Janabharathi, a

state government plantation programme was organized

by the NSS wing of AITS. Sri C.Gangi Reddy Honorable

Secretary, took part in this programme.

The Principal, Hods, the faculty and the students

participated in the Tree Plantation Programme. Around

1000 plants were planted in the college premises of AITS.

Speaking on this occasion, Dr.C.Nadamuni

Reddy, Principal, stated that trees are very important in the

environment. Since it supplies Oxygen to all living beings, it

is the duty of every one to plant trees in their places.

st An Orientation program for 1 year B.Tech students st2016-17 was conducted on 1 July 2016. The dais was

shared by R. Devarajula Reddy, Hod. of H & S Department,

Dr. C. Nadhamuni Reddy, Principal, Sri. C. Abishek,

Secretary of AITS, and Dr. Nagendra Prasad, Prof of Civil

Dept., Sri Venkateswara University College of Engineering

attended as the chief guest and addressed the gathering.

He motivated the students with his speech and

encouraged them towards excellence. He said that at

present Good English communication Skills is playing a key

role in the society and advised the students to learn good

Pronunciation.

In order to create awareness on EAMCET for the

Intermediate students, as a part of social responsibility, the

AITS in association with the SAKSHI Media conducted a thmock EAMCET -2016 examination on 18 April 2016. Scores

of students attended and got beneted a lot.

SEMINAR ON INTRODUCTION OF OFF SHORE STRUCTURES

One-Day seminar was conducted by the Civil thEngineering Department on 9 August 2016 on Introduction

of Offshore Structures at AITS, Tirupati Campus. Dr. Pavan Kumar, Structural Engineer, Hyundai Heavy

Industries, South Korea was the Chief Guest at this Seminar.

He addressed the nal year students and gave a lecture on

the importance of Off shore structures and the designs.
