(OPTIMA-720L1E)

Body or clothes electrostatic potential couldruin laser diode in the optical block. Be sureground body and workbench, and use carethe clothes do not touch the diode.

1) After the connection, remove soldershown in right figure.

(1) Using extension jigsWhen the function of CD mechanism (TN-CCD1001Z-152J) is checked, connect between MAIN P.W.B and CD mechanism with theextension jigs.

• As the connection connector has no polar directions, check the direction of the circuit board (BKC-JIG1/2) when installing. (Refer tothe PIN number in the above photo.)

CD TEST MODE

1-1 Activating CD Test Mode

1) Remove the resistance (R757 100kΩ) of the 63 pin (test) for the IC701(LC72358N-9A04) on the main circuit board, and connect the 73 pin (VDD)and the 63 pin with a wire.

2) Supply DC +12V to the ACC (red) and BACKUP (yellow) of the powersupply/speaker connector, and supply - to the Ground (black)wire.

When the CD test mode is activated, all the lights are lit on the display as shown in the diagram below.

1-2 Exiting CD Test Mode

1) Remove the wires of the 63 pin (test) and the 73 pin (VDD) for IC701 (LC72358N-9A04) on the main circuit board, and connectthe resistance (R757 100kΩ).
