It was inevitable that the Gulf Cooperation Council, and understandably its largest member

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia were on its way to a grand regeneration, to establish a portfolio of

well-diversified economic activities. Consequently, it was with the intension to participate and

contribute to the economic boom of this movement that inspired us to institute our mark and

cater to the whole Kingdom since 2007. The AKR Brand and Factory has been a synonym of

competitiveness and innovative capacity for over six years locally, and over twenty-five years of

AKRLOCK

SYSTEM

INTRODUCTION

Based on the CUPLOCK SYSTEM, which is the world's most widely used system, used both as a General Access Scaffolding System & a Vertical Load Bearing Scaffolding System. This system's key feature is its unique circular node point which allows up to 4 horizontal (Ledgers) to be connected to a vertical (Standard) in a single fastening action-making it the fastest and safest system available. There are no loose components to be put in place. Assembling and erecting this system is 75% faster than other conventional scaffolding systems.

The comprehensive range of AKR-LOCK components allows it to be used with traditional scaffold boards. It can be used to create a huge range of access and support structures (formwork), staircase towers, and circular scaffolds, loading towers, mobile towers, and more. The range of flexible uses this system provides, along with superior safety and strength, as suppose to conventional systems, are probably the reasons for its popularity of use across all types of businesses. These include but are not limited to, Construction, Industrial, Repair &Maintenance, Refineries, Ship Building, Public Access Solutions and more.

AKR LOCK SYSTEM

CORE COMPONENTS

AKR-LOCK STANDARD (POST/VERTICAL)

A Standard is made of High Quality Steel tube with Outer Diameter of 48 mm and Wall Thickness of 3.2 mm. Moreover, it has what are, the actual locking devices for med by loose/rotat ing Top Cups allowed to be moved over the fixed Bottom Cup that is welded in position. These two cups can fit up to four Ledger Blades and be locked by a single Scaffold Hammer blow to lock the Top Cup against the 8mm Steel Pin Welded above it for securing the lock. Connector can be used to attach another Standard on top of the existing one. The two Standards are then bolted together using an M10 Bolt & Nut to secure the standards in position. This option allows a stream of Standards to be erected vertically without a break in the constant 500 mm interval where the layers of Ledgers shall be locked in.

A Ledger is made of High Quality Steel

tube with Outer Diameter of 48 mm and

Wall Thickness of 3.0 mm. Moreover, it has

forged blades welded at both ends,

making assembly quick as wel l as

AKR-LOCK DECKING BEAM

The Decking Beam are designed with wide

top flange thereby reducing maintenance

costs by increasing the lifespan of the

plywood. The decking beam are available

in all the standard sizes.

AKR-LOCK INFILL BEAM

Infill beam are used to provide the transom

suppor t underneath the plywood. All

standard sizes are manufactured, as well

as any special sizes up on request. They

AKR-LOCK UNIVERSAL JACK

A Universal Jack is made of High Quality

Steel Tube with 38 Outer Diameter and Wall

Thickness is of 4 mm. This tube is available

in lengths of 760 mm and 660 mm. Allowing

for extension of up to 520 mm and 420 mm

respectively. It has a forged Jack Nut

screwed on which helps accommodate

variations in ground levels and to level the

structure. These are used in conjunction

with Socket Base/Head Plates and Fixed U-

Head.

Finish Available : Galvanized.

AKR-LOCK SOCKET BASE/HEAD

PLATE

A Socket Base/Head Plate is used in

conjunction with the Universal Jack. The

dimensions of the plate are 150mm x 150

mm and the thicknesses available in 5 mm.

The plate has a 86 mm steel tube with 48

O u t e r D i a m e t e r a n d 3 . 2 m m Wa l l

Thickness welded in the center, this is

drilled to allow for the insertion of securing

bolt if required. The plate is punched with

holes to accept securing bolts when used

with other supplementary components and

also for spiking to sole boards.

AKR LOCK SYSTEM

AKR-LOCK SPIGOT BASE PLATE

A Spigot Base Plate is used directly in

conjunction with a Standard, providing a

dull bearing surface for load distribution.

The dimensions of the plate are 150 mm x

150 mm and the thickness is available in 5

mm. The plate has a 100 mm steel tube with

25 Outer Diameter and 2 mm Wall Thickness

welded in the center, this is drilled to allow

for the insertion of securing bolt if required.

The plate is punched with holes to accept

securing bolts when used with other

supplementary components and also for

spiking to sole boards.

The quick action drop head complete

supply with nuts & bolts that design to fit the

Standard props or adaptors for cuplocks

scaffolding. The drop heads at a hummer

stroke. The wedge is specially constructed

to endure the repeated strokes of the

hummer.

AKR-LOCK CONNECTOR

A connector is made of High Quality Square

tube with dimension of 30mm x 30mm and

Wall Thickness of 3.0mm. The length of a

connector is 300mm. This is so that it can be

used as an accessory that can be used to

attach a standard on top of the existing one.

The two Standards are then bolted using an

M10 Bolt & Nut to secure the standards in

position.

A Spigot U-Head is used in conjunction with a Standard or an Adjustable Prop Jack to provide a wider area for light and medium-duty load bearing applications. This comes with surface area of 150 mm x 170 mm. The U-Head plate is made of Steel Sheet with 6 mm thickness.

AKR LOCK SYSTEM

AKR-LOCK BEAM BRACKET

A Beam Bracket is specially used to

eliminate the need for full height propping

under Drop Beams and i ts primary

purpose is to support the framework for

them. The bracket has two Ledger Blades

welded at an extended length of 155 mm

along a 1500 mm Steel Tube. The

positioning of the Ledger Blades are not

asymmetrical, this is so it can be used

either way up to provide additional

f lexibili ty in adjustment to propping

height.


AKR-LOCK SINGLE BOARD BRACKET

A Single Board Bracket locates in the cup joint and provides support for a single board at a vertical. It replaces the inside board transom at that point. It is especially useful where scaffolds cannot be located directly adjacent to the work face.

HANDRAIL POST

It is used to hold the hand rails of 48.3 scaffold tube. The hand rail post is fitted in to the socket of the Access bracket and is fastened using M16 x 75mm bolt and nut.

DOUBLE PUSH PULL PROPS

ADJUSTABLE STEEL PROP (PROP JACK)

A n A d j u s t a b l e S t e e l P r o p i s a compression member normally used as t e m p o r a r y v e r t i c a l s u p p o r t i n construction works. A prop consists of two tubes which are telescopically displaceable within each other. The outer steel tube is of 60.30 mm Outer Diameter and the inner steel tube is of 48.30 mm outer diameter. A prop has a coarse adjustment with a pin inserted into holes in the inner tube and a means of fine adjustment using a threaded collar. Note: The forces f rom the endplate are transferred to the pin inserted in the inner tube holes and to the collar nut which transfers the forces to the outer tube thread.

The prop extension is called "fully open" if the pin is in the hole farthest away from the inner tube endplate and the collar nut is in the uppermost position. The prop extension is called "fully closed" if the pin is in the hole nearest the inner tube endplate and the collar nut is in the lowest position.

An Open End Frame is made with the highest quality steel tube of outer diameter 42.00 mm. There are var ious sizes available to accommodate the needs of customers. Each frame has four Snap Lock Pins welded on for the fixing of Horizontal & Diagonal Braces for medium duty version and Cross Braces for the light duty version. Due to the variation of these frames available in the market. This is an item, which can be highly customized, to fit the existing of a client. This item is available in two sizes. The medium duty Open End Frame is erected in the same manner as the H Frame, however the light duty Open End Frame is erected by the used of Joint Pins designed specially for this system to secure the connecting of one frame to another.

Requirements :

A scaffold must be erected, altered, and dismantled by qualified works or under the direct supervision of a qualified person. The qualified person must ensure that the erection is carried out according to acceptable practices in compliance with any drawings and the manufacturer or supplier's instructions, and that the correct components and materials are being used.

HT20plus TIMBER BEAM

(KAUFMANN)

The HT20plus Timber Beams are to be

u s e d i n s u p p o r t i n g s t r u c t u r e a n d

formworks for concrete buildings. The

load is applied in the direction of the

formwork beam height. The EN 13377

standard specifies the classification, the

requirements, and verification procedures

for formwork beams in the heights H = 20.

The Institute of Structural Engineering,

Berlin, has marked the formwork Timber

Beam HT20plus with a Ü stamp according

to the Technical Approval Z 9.1-146.

An HT20plus Timber Beam is a wooden

formwork beam, glued and solid walled I-

Beams. The wood species involved are

Spruce and Fir. The glue used is Melamine

resin-based adhesive, adhesive type I EN

301- approved for gluing load-bearing

wood structural elements. The chord is

visually graded to strength class S10

according to DIN 4074. These beams are

made of finger-jointed (according to DIN

68140-1), high-grade, solid whitewood.

Due to the 3-ply solid wood webs the

HT20plus formwork beams can be cut into

and supported at any length.

ALUMINUM BEAM

The Aluminum Beams are also used for

supporting structures and formworks for

concrete buildings. The load is applied in

the direction of the formwork beam

height. These beams are supplied with

timber insertion of 2" by 2" suitable for

nailing of plywood. The aluminum beams

have great bending and shear resistance,

allowing more weight to be supported

across increased spans, which in turn

reduces labor cost of fixing and erecting.

The beams are made of Aluminum Alloy

6082 with T6 Hardness. The elongation for

wall thickness of 5mm or above is 10% and

for 5mm or below 8%. There are available

in two profiles, one with a thickness of

2.80 mm and the second with a thickness

of 4.00 mm.
