GUIDELINE

BL/Manifest must ensure that actual receiver data is available with Contact details, Mobile Nos

MBL if involved to be as follows: Shipper: XYZ forwarder

Consignee: Actual Consignee at Iraq Do not declare any Mobile / Email id of consignee on MBL to avoid direct release of

delivery order by Carrier agent

Notify party: Al Rashed United Shipping Services, Basra, IraqContact details / PIC as per contact list

HBL if involved to be as follows: Shipper: Actuals

Consignee: Actual with Mobile No, Contact person, Email id

Notify party: Actual with Mobile No, Contact person, Email id

Pls ensure MBL surrendered

If HBL for Ministry, kindly ensure that NOC from shipper secured to release d/o without OBL since Iraq banks take a long time resulting consignee to deliver OBL long time. Notes: ministry most of the time do not produce HBL once received cargo fyg

and shipper should not hold us for any cost/consequences.


GUIDELINE

Pls ensure that consignee full style addres, PIC / Mobile No and possibly email details available

Most of the communication of arrival at Iraq is on Mobile phones where email id not available

For forwarding shipments, we only issue authorization letter to receivers in order for them to settle all other charges direct to carrier, including security deposits

Surrender msg to carrier must be copied to us to produce at Iraq agent to avoid delays to consignee

Ocean freight to include destination THC as well, mainly for Ministry as consignee, though we will not be involved – we will like to avoid disputes by Government receivers. Else actual consignee to settle THC direct with carrier along with local charges

Ensure that agent (us) is not liable for any damages / loss of cargo & should be dealt appropriately on claims

Alchohol, Drugs, Porno materials of any kind, Arms & ammunitions, IMO Class 1, 7 are prohibitted and do not accept any items.

Other IMO Class items are subject acceptance only. Pls refrain as much possible and check with us

Authorisation letters can be issued only after vessel berthing


GUIDELINE

Please ensure SOC & COC containers are issued in different documents including Bills of lading

Pls follow guideline of SOC (Shipper own units), where applicable

Do not involve any bank in direct OBL (MBL) If any Bank is involved & SHIPPER if insisting MBL only please do not issue notify to us

and should be handled directly

No Freight collect acceptable at this stage unless we are aware of consignee and issued in written for acceptance, without any liability to us in case of receivers failure

No additional collections are possible as consignee will arrange d/o with carrier direct upon payment of local charges


GUIDELINE – CARRIER CHARGES

• Delivery Order charges vary from carrier to carrier• Free days (Line detention) varies from carrier to carrier• Container security deposit, varies from carrier to carrier• M&R : Procedures vary from carrier to carrier

Please ensure to select carrier and we can assist within our Representation wherever possible to have better control on Shipments

For MLO involved we prefer:-- MSC- Safmarine- Maersk

- Do not use CMA / Hapag Lloyd due to local complications


GUIDELINE – COMMERCIAL AIR SHIPMENTS

Commercial cargo by Airfreight Pls check with us prior movement

No endorsement are available & has to be on final receivers

Please ensure that SHIPPER OWN UNITS accepted for Umm qasr discharge comply with following:-

ISO STANDARD 4 ALPHABET PREFIX FOLLOWED BY 7 DIGITS

PLS ENSURE THAT NOS NOT MARKED AS “XXXU” ALSO.

CSC Plate rating validity available

Documentation:

In case shipment consist of COC & SOC for same client on same voyage;

DO NOT combine COC & SOC container on the same Bill of Lading.

Shipper Own Units must be available on separate document

Invoice / Certificate of Origin must be legalised by POL chamber of commerce & COO to be issued at Manufacturing country attested by Iraqi Consulate / Embassy at Cargo origin country

Certificate of Conformity where applicable

Pre-Inspection Certificate issued by SGS / BV where required

Any chemical import or HAZ mat, consignee must have relevant Import licence for cargo valid for import

MSDS should be issued
