Scores of Europe’s leading entrepreneurs and businessmen, whose passion is

high performance cars, will be taking to the F1 track in Montmeló in

top-of-the-range of sports cars including Ferraris, Vipers, Porsches, Rolls

Royces and Mercedes. Barcelona’s Superyachts will provide the backdrop for

the press breakfast which will be held at the new Marina Port Vell on Sunday

13th September, followed by a car convoy around the city`s most iconic sites

where drivers can showcase their vehicles.

The finale of the 5-day event takes place at Barcelona’s latest glitzy restaurant

and bar One Ocean Club, hosted by lead sponsors Lucas Fox International

Properties and attended by some of the city’s top movers & shakers.

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya

was built in 1991 and began hosting

the Spanish Grand Prix that same

year. It also plays host to the Moto

GP. With long straights and a variety

of corners, the track is seen as an

all-rounder circuit. The circuit has

been the site of some memorable

moments. In 1991, Ayrton Senna

and Nigel Mansell went down the

entire front straight side-by-side

while dueling for second place,

with Mansell eventually taking the

race itself. In 1994 Michael

Schumacher finished in second

place despite driving over half the

race with only fih gear. In 1996,

Schumacher took his first win as a

Ferrari driver, aer a dominant

performance during a torrential

rainstorm. In 2006 Fernando

Alonso became the first Spanish

Formula One driver to win at his

home country's track.

First opened in 2007, this is a

beautiful racetrack on the top of a

hill, not far from the town of Alcarrás,

about 12 km from Lleida. The

racetrack measures 3743m with a

800m straight, 10 le hand corners,

4 right hand corners and 30 pit

boxes. It was built on a hillside, so

the track leads down the hill first and

then back up to the finish line which

is the highest point of the track. The

biggest challenge is a fast downhill

double le turn.

Constantly re-inventing itself, it attracts a chic, cosmopolitan crowd thanks to its enviable ‘city and surf’ lifestyle, superb year-round climate, award-winning gastronomy and more recently its low property prices. Since the Olympics in 1992 it has become one of the top European city destinations and continually tops ‘quality of life’ polls. In recent years, Barcelona has gained a reputation as a growing hub for business, design, creativity and technology.

Barcelona has been labeled one of the worldʼs most exciting ʻurban resortsʼ and continues to be one of Europeʼs most vibrant and progressive cities

Barcelona will welcome some of the worldʼs most exciting Supercars this autumn, when the bi-annual Wileco ʻRace for Funʼ arrives with a bang in the Catalan capital.

In December 2014 the newly revamped Port Vell Marina saw the inauguration of the sleek cube – OneOcean Club – a private club and restaurant and playground to the elite. Designed by SCOB architects and the well-known Barcelona-based interior design studio El Equipo Creativo, the idea behind this establishment was that it be a place where the city’s most affluent crowd could mingle with the owners of super yachts staying at the marina. Dishes have a fun, creative edge where deep blues and sumptuous greens recall the Mediterranean which is practically lapping at the front door.

The ultra plush Hotel W by renowned architect Ricardo Bofill has become a symbol of Barceloneta beachfront and synonymous with style. Everything, from its 473 guest rooms and suites to the glamorous sun deck and pool, has been impeccably designed to elevate you from the city below in a pristine oasis of luxury with spectacular panoramic views of the sea and city below.Barcelona’s Gothic quarter are a mere stroll from the accommodation, but with all of the gastronomic and social options available at the hotel, it will be a wonder if you can prise yourself away.
