Alaska Sprint Marathon Occurred in Ketchikan in July 2016

In addition, he has authored or coauthored 10 finance books and produced educational course materials for programs across the globe. When not instructing students, Dr. John R. Nofsinger enjoys staying active and participates in sprint triathlons.

Sprint triathlons are triathlons that have shorter distances. Triathlons consist of swimming, cycling, and running, and participants complete these events without breaks.

Alaska Sprint Marathon Sprint triathlons typically consist of a half-mile

swim, a 12.4-mile bike ride, and a 3.1-mile run. These distances are half of the distances of an Olympic triathlon.

One of the 2016 sprint triathlons that occurred in Ketchikan, Alaska, was the Latitude 56 Tri-for-Fun Sprint Triathlon. Participants gathered on July 2 and started with a swim at the Gateway Aquatic Center pool. They then biked to the Mountain Point area and back to the Gateway Recreation Center. They finished the event with a run to the Coast Guard Base Sky Bridge and back.
