Albert Einstein

Albert Einsteinwas born at Ulm, in Wrttemberg, Germany, on March 14, 1879. He when was child, did not speak until one day he told his parents "The soup is too hot."Parents surprised they asked: "If you speak so well ... why did not you before?". To which the genie replied, "Because before everything had been in order."The Young Albert Six weeks later the family moved to Munich, where he later on began his schooling at the Luitpold Gymnasium. In 1896 he entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic School in Zurich to be trained as a teacher in physics and mathematics. In 1911 he obtained his diploma and Swiss nationality. Later he accepted a position as technical assistant in the Swiss Patent Office.

Between 1905 and 1911 received several appointments as a professor in various regions of Germany.

He became a German citizen in 1914 and remained in Berlin until 1933 when he renounced his citizenship for political reasons and emigrated to America to take the position of Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton*. He became a United States citizen in 1940 and retired from his post in 1945.

Einstein postulated that the correct interpretation of the special theory of relativity must also furnish a theory of gravitation and in 1916 he published his paper on the general theory of relativity. In the 1920's, Einstein embarked on the construction of unified field theories, although he continued to work on the probabilistic interpretation of quantum theory, and he persevered with this work in America.

Albert Einstein received honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine and philosophy from many European and American universities. During the 1920's he lectured in Europe, America and the Far East and he was awarded Fellowships or Memberships of all the leading scientific academies throughout the world. He gained numerous awards in recognition of his work, including the Copley Medal of the Royal Society of London in 1925, and the Franklin Medal of the Franklin Institute in 1935.Personal life and deathAlbert lived in an intellectual solitude, for relaxing, music played an important part in his life. He married Mileva Maric in 1903 and they had a daughter and two sons; their marriage was dissolved in 1919 and in the same year he married his cousin, Elsa Lwenthal, who died in 1936. He died on April 18, 1955 at Princeton, New Jersey.

Anecdotes about Einstein

The driverIt is said that in the 20s when Albert Einstein was becoming known for his theory of relativity, was frequently requested by universities to give lectures. Since he did not like driving the car and yet it was very comfortable for traveling, engaged the services of a chauffeur. After several days of travel, Einstein told the driver how boring it was to repeat the same thing over and over again."If you want to, 'said the driver, I can replace it for one night. I heard your lecture so many times that I can recite it word for word. "Einstein agreed and before reaching the next place, swapped clothes and Einstein took the wheel. They reached the room where the conference was to be held and as none of these scholars knew Einstein, not discovered the charade. The driver explained that the conference had heard repeated many times to Einstein. Finally, a teacher in the audience asked a question. The driver had no idea what could be the answer, but had a spark of inspiration and replied: "The question to me is so simple that I will let my chauffeur, who is at the end of the room, the answer ".

Bright IdeaEinstein gave a lecture at the College de France, the French writer Paul Valery asked: "Professor Einstein, when you have an original idea, what do you do? Does the notes in a notebook or on a separate sheet? "To which Einstein replied," When I have an original idea * I do not forgetting. Marilyn MonroeAt a social gathering Marilyn Monroe crossed with Albert Einstein, she suggested: "What teacher says, we should get married and have a child together. Can you imagine a baby with my beauty and intelligence? ". Einstein replied seriously: "Unfortunately I fear that the experiment in reverse and go over with a child with my beauty and intelligence."

ChaplinIt is said that Einstein at a social gathering coincided with actor Charles Chaplin. During the conversation, Chaplin told Einstein: "What I have always admired about you is that his art is universal, everyone understands you and admires you." To which Chaplin said: "Theirs is much more worthy of respect: everyone admires him and hardly anyone understands."ForgetfulnessPeople always talk about the monumental forgetfulness of the great geniuses. Einstein was not particularly distracted, even if they are easily concentrated, and this gave him a reputation for being somewhat confused. One day, on the tram, a girl sat on the seat beside him. Albert Einstein asked him how old he was and that it was called. "My name is Clara, Dad," replied the girl ..

We are all very ignorant. What happens is that they all ignore the same things.Never consider the study as an obligation but as an opportunity to enter the beautiful and wonderful world of learning. If you are looking for different results, do not do the same. Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity. And I'm not sure of the Universe.Maturity begins to manifest when we feel that our concern is more for others than for ourselves. There is a driving force more powerful than steam, electricity and nuclear power: the will.Chance does not exist, God does not play dice.Famous phrasesE=mc squared is the physics equation formulated by Einstein relating matter and energy. In the equation, E is energy, m is mass, and c is a constant value (the speed of light). In words, the equation says that the energy of a particular type of matter equals to the mass of that matter times the speed of light squared.
