A s K o r z y b s k i ( 1 9 5 1 ) p u t i t , a p e r s o n i s " a n o r g a n i s m - a s - a- w h o l e - i n - a n - e n v i r on m e n t ." People seem

t o b e b o r n t e a c h a b l e a n d s e l f - t e a c h a b l e a n d t h e r e f o r e p a r t l y a c q u i r e t h e i r f e e l i n g s f r o m t h e i r

e x p e r i e n c e s w i t h o t h e r s a n d w i t h t h e o b j e c t s a n d t h i n g s t h e y e n c o u n t e r i n t h e i r e a r l y a n d l a t e r l i f e .

A l s o , b e c a u s e t h e y a r e m o r e g u l l i b l e o r i n f l u e n c e a b l e w h e n t h e y a r e y o u n g , t h e y m a y w e l l - though

I think that Korzybski would have endorsed RET's continual crusading against people's
