History of the Company

The history of foundation of the “Pervomaysk Electromechanical Plant named after Karl Marx” as one of the largest manufacturers of electric motors in Ukraine dates since far 1873 year when the French businessman Ter constructed on the Luhan river bank a paper-mill producing packing paper for needs of neighboring mines.

In 1889 the factory was bought by Germans Bosse and Gennefeld, who changed its specialty into a mechanical factory of the mountain equipment. Seven years later Rudolf Gennefeld became the pro-prietor of the company, and production assortment included elevating steam winches, pumps for mines, cast-iron castings.

In May, 1920 the Soviet government made the decision on nationalization of the company and thus the factory was reoriented into casting and mechanical plant and was named after Karl Marx. The company began its work from restoration and development of the coal and chemical industry.

Since 1932 the factory was renamed into «Machine-Building Plant named after Karl Marx», and its production acquired the increasing recognition and authority among consumers.

The historical moment for the company was the 1935 year when pans and machineries were sent for the first time for export, at the same time the plant was mastering the production of winches, scrapers, pneumatic and manual stone and coal crushers, fans, pumps, Electric motor gears for coal lavas, reserve parts to coal cut-ters. Simultaneously there was performed the reconstruction of a boiler-house and machine-assembling department, the railway line and a water supply system were made.Development perspectives already became a reality, but the constructive labor of plant workers was interrupted by war.

In October, 1941 the plant was evacuated to Cheremkhovo, Irkutsk region where during the war there were produced mortar bombs, incendiary and aerial bombs, grenades - which production was mastered by the company within a month. Except defensive production, during the evacuation time there were produced pumps for shafts, chisel Electric motor gears, scraper and gear winches, and spare parts for machines and combines.

Immediately after the foundation of Pervomaisk city - on September, 3rd, 1943 the by the order of the People’s Commissariat of the electrotechnical industry of the USSR there was recreated “Pervomaysk Electromechanical Plant named after Karl Marx” which functions included reconditioning and restoration of the electric equip-ment flooded during war in shafts of Donbass - electric motors, transformers, starting and regulating instrumentations.

In 1946 the historical decision was taken to begin the production of flameproof electric motors which caused a new stage of re-equipment and reconstruction. Less than a year was required by technical department of the company for working out and producing of the first electric motors for an Electric motor gear of coal combines.

Since 1948 there have been fixed scientific and business relations with Makeyevka Scientific Research Institute, Donetsk “Dongiprouglemash” and “Giproniselektroshaht”, later - with UkrNIIVE, and regular work on creation and mastering of Electric Motors has begun.

In close cooperation of theorists and experts the plant’s products were improved year after year, tens of new asynchronous electric motors, hundreds of their modifica-tions were created.

From the end of 50th years of the last century the plant named after K. Marx became known as one of country leading enterprises on working out and producing of the flameproof and miner equipment for the largest industrial areas of Donbass, Kuzbas, Karaganda, Vorkuta, Situated near Moscow and other centers of development of the coal, oil refining and gas branches working in the conditions of explosion-proof manufacture.

Fixed improvement of constructions and techniques has allowed creating in the eighties at a factory series of modifications of the electric motors which are not

yielding on a technological level by best world sam-ples. Almost all names of produced goods (55,3 % - with the State Quality symbol) refer to perspective and are in great demand.

On peak of economic successes the factory staff met new trials. After dissolving of the USSR in 1991 and the following break of industrial links with the former republics has occurred and slump in production began to go deep, there was a crisis of mutual payments.

Today the oldest factory of Luhansk area ALC “PEMP named after Karl Marx”–one of the largest Ukrainian manufacturer offering to domestic and

foreign consumers more than 400 standard sizes of asynchronous flameproof electric motors of 15 series, power from 2,2 to 2000 kW of three classes of insulation with which are completed more than 80% of coal mining and tunneling combines, tape both chain-and-flight conveyors and series of other powerful mine gears.

The plant can strongly hold in the lead positions in the world market due to its high level of reliability in maintenance and quality of the produced goods which original passport is the international certificate ISO 9001:2008.

Now the long-term program of technical development of the production has come into force according to which almost all spectrums of the electric motors pro-duced earlier are subject to complete substitution. Already advanced achievements of domestic and foreign techniques are embodied in latest models, used modern isola-tion, magnetic conduit and structural materials.

Understanding huge responsibility for results of the work and taking care about the image of the factory, workers of the production are guided by a principle - to work quickly and qualitatively, to appear the safe partner in deliveries of flameproof asynchronous electric motors.

Electric Motors 3B, 3BP

Explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous Electric Motors with a short-circuited rotor of type 3В are intended for an Electric Motor gear of various machines and gears (pumps, fans, air engines, etc.) in explosive productions of internal and external installations oil refining, gas, chemical and other industries.

Explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous Electric Motors with a short-circuited rotor of type 3ВР are intended for an Electric motor gear of various machines and gears (pumps, fans, air engines, etc.) in the shafts dangerous under the contents of firedamp (methane) and finely pulver-ized coal.

Electric Motors 3В have version on explosion safety 1ExdIIBT4 in accordance with GOST 12.2.020 and GOST R 51330.0.

Electric Motors 3ВР have version on explosion safety РВ3ВИа on GOST 12.2.020 (home mar-ket), РВExdiaI in accordance with GOST R 51330.0 (export to Russia and the CIS countries) and ExdiaI in accordance with GOST 12.2.020 (export to other countries).

Electric Motors are produced according to specif ications of Technical Conditions ТУ У 3.09-00217159-033-97.

Aspect of a climatic modification and category of arranging of the Electric Motors produced for home market and export deliveries to the countries with a temperate climate - У2,5, for export deliveries to the countries with a damp and dry tropical climate - Т2,5 in accordance with GOST 15150.

Nominal operating mode of Electric Motors - S1 is in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173. Operation of Electric Motors in modes S2, S3, S4 and S6 in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173 is acceptable.

Electric Motors are oriented for operation from a circuit of three-phase alternate current by frequency 50Hz and 60Hz, voltage 380, 660 and 1140V, According to the customer’s request - 400, 415, 440 and 500V.

Operation of Electric Motors from frequency shifters is according to the additional agreement.

The binding of powers of electric motors to the adjusting-connecting sizes corresponds to GOST 28330 (РС 3031-71).

Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IР54 in accordance with GOST 17494, protection index of the fan from air input - IР20 in accordance with GOST 17494.

Electric Motors have class insulation of thermal resistance F and Н in accordance with GOST 8865.

Electric Motors have the following versions on a mounting mode: - 3В112, 3ВР112 - IM1081, IM2081, IM3081, IM1082 in accordance with GOST 2479; - 3В132, 3ВР132 - IM1081, IM2081, IM3081, IM3011, IM1082 in accordance with GOST 2479; - 3В160, 3ВР160, 3В180, 3ВР180 - IM1081, IM4081, M9781 in accordance with GOST 2479; - 3В200, 3ВР200, 3В225, 3ВР225 - IM1001, IM4001, M9701 in accordance with GOST 2479,

operation of Electric Motors with angles of inclination of a direct-axis to ± 30° is meanwhile accepted.

Cooling method of Electric Motors - IСA 0141 is in accordance with GOST 20459. The weight of Electric Motors and specifications for a nominal operating mode at frequency 50Hz

are given in Table 1.1. The weight of Electric Motors is given for version IM1081 (IM1001). The overall, mounting and connection dimensions of Electric Motors are given on Figures

1.1 - 1.3 and in Table 1.2.

Explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous Electric Motors with a short-circuited rotor of type 2В are intended for an Electric Motor gear of stationary machines and gears (pumps, fans, air engines, etc.) in explosive productions of internal and external installations used in oil refining, gas, chemical and other industries.

Explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous Electric Motors with a short-circuited rotor of type 2ВР are intended for an Electric Motor gear of stationary machines and gears (pumps, fans, air engines, etc.) in the shafts dangerous under the contents of firedamp (methane) and finely pulver-ized coal.

Electric Motors 2В have version on explosion safety 1ExdIIBT4 in accordance with GOST 12.2.020 and GOST R 51330.0.

Electric Motors 2ВР have version on explosion safety РВ3ВИа in accordance with GOST 12.2.020 (home market), РВExdI in accordance with GOST R 51330.0 (export to Russia and the CIS countries) and ExdI in accordance with GOST 12.2.020 (export to other countries).

Electric Motors are produced according to specif ications of Technical Conditions ТУ У 31.1-05758925-011:2006.

Aspect of a climatic modification and category of arranging of the Electric Motors produced for home market and export deliveries to the countries with a temperate climate - У2,5, for export deliveries to the countries with a damp and dry tropical climate - Т2,5, in areas with a frigid cli-mate - УХЛ2,5 in accordance with GOST 15150.

Nominal operating mode of Electric Motors - S1 is in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173. Operation of Electric Motors in modes S2, S3, S4 and S6 in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173 is acceptable.

Electric Motors are oriented for operation from a circuit of three-phase alternate current by frequency 50 and 60Hz, voltage 380, 660 and 1140V, According to the customer’s request - 400, 415, 440 and 500V.

Operation of Electric Motors from frequency shifters is according to the additional agreement.

The binding of powers of electric motors to the adjusting-connecting sizes corresponds to GOST 28330 (РС 3031-71).

Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IР54 is in accordance with GOST 17494, protection index of fan from air input - IР20 is in accordance with GOST 17494.

Electric Motors have class insulation of thermal resistance F and Н in accordance with GOST 8865.

Versions on a mounting mode - IM1001, IM1002, IM4001, M9701, and IM4011 are in accor-dance with GOST 2479.

The terminal box of Electric Motors has to be fixed from the right side if to take a detached view from the appearing end of the shaft. The sharp turn of a terminal box on an edge, divisible by 90° is acceptable.

Cooling method of Electric Motors - ICA0141 is in accordance with GOST 20459. The weight of Electric Motors and specifications for a nominal operating mode at frequency

50Hz and voltage 660V are given in Table 2.1. The weight of Electric Motors is given for version IM1001.

The overall, mounting and connection dimensions of Electric Motors are given on Figures 2.1-2.3 and in the Table 2.2.

Explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous Electric Motors with a short-circuited rotor of type BAO2 are intended for an Electric Motor gear of stationary machines and gears (pumps, fans, air engines, etc.) in the shafts dangerous under the contents of firedamp (methane) and finely pulverized coal, and also in explosive productions of internal and external installations used in oil refining, gas, chemical and other industries.

Electric Motors BAO2 have the following versions on explosion safety: РВ3ВИа and 1ExdIIBT4 in accordance with GOST 12.2.020 (home market), РВExdI and 1ExdIIBT4 in accordance with GOST R 51330.0 (export to Russia and the CIS countries), ExdI and 1ExdIIBT4 in accordance with GOST 12.2.020 (export to other countries).

According to the customer’s request, at frequency of 50 Hz Electric Motors by power to 200kW can be produced on voltages 400, 415, 440 and 500V, and Electric Motors by power to 250kW - on voltages 440 and 500V. At frequency 60Hz Electric Motors by power to 200kW can be produced on voltages 380/660 and 440V, and Electric Motors by power to 250kW - on voltages 440V.

Operation of Electric Motors from frequency shifters is according to the additional agreement.

Electric Motors ВАО5П280 have the following versions on explosion safety: РВ3ВИа and 1ExdIIBT4 in accordance with GOST12.2.020 (home market), РВExdI and 1ExdIIBT4 in accor-dance with GOST R 51330.0 (export to Russia and the CIS countries), ExdI and 1ExdIIBT4 in accordance with GOST 12.2.020 (export to other countries).

market and export deliveries to the countries with a temperate climate - 2,5, for export deliveries to thecountries with a damp and dry tropical climate - 2,5 in accordance with GOST 15150.

Nominal operating mode of Electric Motors - S1 is in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173.Electric Motors are oriented for operation from a circuit of three-phase alternate current by voltage 6000V

and frequency 50Hz, and according to the customer's request on 10kW with power lowering on one gradeand frequency 50Hz.

Operation of Electric Motors from frequency shifters is according to the additional agreement.Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IP54 is in accordance with GOST 17494,

protection index of the external fan from air input - IP20 is in accordance with GOST 17494.Electric Motors have class insulation of thermal resistance F with usage on a class of thermal resistance B

Electric Motors are produced on rated voltage 380, 400, 415, 440, 500, 660V at a current fre-quency 50Hz and 380, 440, 660V at a current frequency 60Hz. In case customer’s requirements are absent Electric Motors are produced on rated voltage 380/660V.

Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IP54 is in accordance with GOST 17494, protection index of the fan from air input - IP20 is in accordance with GOST 17494.

Class of thermal resistance of stator winding insulation - F, armature coils - H are in accor-dance with GOST 8865.

Version on a mounting mode - IM1001 is in accordance with GOST 2479. Electric Motors have two terminal boxes - one for stator and one for rotor. The sharp turn of

terminal boxes on an edge divisible by 90° is acceptable. Cooling method of Electric Motors - ICA0141 is in accordance with GOST 20459. The weight of Electric Motors and specifications for a nominal operating mode are given in

Electric Motors are produced according to specifications of Technical Conditions ТУ У 31.1-05758925-007:2006.

Aspect of a climatic modification and a category of arranging of the Electric Motors produced for home market and export deliveries to the countries with a temperate climate - У2,5, for export deliveries to the countries with a damp and dry tropical climate - Т2,5 on GOST15150.

Operating modes of Electric Motors - S1 and S8 are in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173. In mode S8 of Electric Motors the operation with rotation velocity n1=n nom and n2=0,1n nom is supposed.

Electric Motors are produced on rated voltage 380, 400, 415, 440, 500, 660V at a current frequency 50Hz and 380, 440, 660V at a current frequency 60Hz. In case customer’s require-ments are absent Electric Motors with power to 200 kW are inclusively produced on rated voltage 380/660V, Electric Motors with power over 200 kW are produced on rated voltage 660V.

Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IP54 is in accordance with GOST 17494, protection index of the external fan from air input - IP20 is in accordance with GOST 17494.

Class of thermal resistance of stator winding insulation - F, armature coils - H are in accor-dance with GOST 8865.

Version on a mounting mode - IM1001 is in accordance with GOST 2479. Electric Motors have two terminal boxes - one for stator and one for rotor. The sharp turn of

terminal boxes on an edge, divisible by 90° is acceptable. Cooling method of Electric Motors - ICA 0151 is in accordance with GOST 20459. The weight of Electric Motors and specifications for a nominal operating mode at frequency

50Hz are given in Table 9.1. The overall, mounting and connection dimensions of Electric Motors are given on Figure 9

ТУ У 31.1-00217159-066:2005. Aspect of a climatic modification and a category of arranging of Electric Motors - У5 is in

accordance with GOST 15150. Nominal operating mode of Electric Motors - S1 is in accordance with GOST 183 and

GOST 28173. Electric Motors are oriented for operation, both from a circuit of three-phase alternate current

and from a frequency shifter. Electric Motors are produced on rated voltage 1140 and 950V at a nominal current frequency 50Hz. The regulation band of supply voltage makes from 0 to 1140V. The regulation band of current frequency makes 2,1-150Hz for Electric Motors ЭКВ4-30-6; 2,5-150Hz for Electric Motors ЭКВ4-45-6, ЭКВ4-60-6. The regulation band of rotation speed makes 50-3000 rev/min.

Long operation of Electric Motors with the driving torque close to the nominal is acceptable at a current frequency to 80Hz. At a current frequency more than 80Hz the long operation of Electric Motors is acceptable only in a shunting mode with the lowered loading torque on the axis.

Electric Motors for gear hydraulics systems of shearers

Explosion-proof three-phase asynchronous Electric Motors with a short-circuited rotor of type ЭКВ2,5-7,5 is intended for an electric motor gear of a hydraulic-circuit system of the shearer КДК500 working in underground developments of collieries, firedamp (methane) dangerous under the contents and finely pulverized coal.

The Electric Motor has following versions on explosion safety: РВ3ВИа in accordance with GOST 12.2.020 (home market) and РВExdI in accordance with GOST R 51330.0 (export to Russia and the CIS countries).

The motor is issued according to specifications of Technical Conditions У 31.1-00217159-067:2005. Aspect of a climatic modification and a category of arranging of the Electric motor - У5 is in

accordance with GOST 15150. Nominal operating mode of Electric Motor - S1 is in accordance with GOST 183 and

GOST 28173.The Electric Motor is oriented for operation from a circuit of three-phase alternate current by

voltage 1140V and frequency 50Hz. Protection index of the Electric Motor from external effects - IР54 is in accordance with

GOST 17494. The Electric Motor has class insulation of thermal resistance Н in accordance with GOST 8865.

Versions on a mounting mode - IM4201 is in accordance with GOST 2479. Electric Motor cooling method - ICW37 is in accordance with GOST 20459. The weight of the Electric motor and specifications for voltage 1140V and frequencies 50Hz

are given in Table 11. The overall, mounting and connection dimensions of Electric Motors ЭКВ are given on Figure

11.14.

Electric Motors ЭКВ4-140-3, 3ЭКВ4УС2 are oriented for operation in mode S4 in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173. Parameters of mode S4 are given in Table 9.

Electric Motors are oriented for operation from a circuit of three-phase alternate current by frequency 50Hz. The Electric Motor 3ЭКВ4УС2 is oriented for supply voltages 660, 1000 and 1140V; Electric motor ЭКВ4-140-3 is oriented for supply voltages 500, 660 and 1140V.

Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IP54 is in accordance with GOST 17494.

The Electric Motor 3ЭКВ4УС2 have class insulation of thermal resistance Н, and Electric Motor ЭКВ4-140-3 has class insulation of thermal resistance F in accordance with GOST 8865.

Cooling method of Electric Motors - ICW37 is in accordance with GOST 20459. The weight of Electric Motors and specifications for a nominal operating mode at voltage 660V and frequency 50Hz are given in Table 11.

Nominal operating mode of Electric Motors - S1 is in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173. Operation of Electric Motors in mode S2 with duration of the period of a constant rated load of 60 minutes and an interval between switchings on of 12,8 hours is acceptable. Operation of Electric Motors in modes S3 and S4 with cyclic duration factor of 60% and inertia factor 2,0 is acceptable. The acceptable power rating in modes S3 and S4 corresponds to the power for mode S1.

Electric Motors are oriented for operation from a circuit of three-phase alternate current by voltage 500, 1000 and 1140/660V at frequency of 50 Hz, and also voltage 660V at frequency 60Hz. The excep-tion is made by Electric Motors: 2ЭДКОФ250М4 - voltages 500 and 660/380V at frequency 50Hz, and also 660V at frequency 60Hz; 2ЭДКОФВ250М4 - voltages 1000 and 1140/660V at frequency 50Hz; 3ЭДКОФ250L4 - voltages 500, 660/380, 1000 and 1140/660V at frequency 50Hz, and also 660V at fre-quency 60Hz.

Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IP54 is in accordance with GOST 17494, protection index of the fan from air input - IP20 is in accordance with GOST 17494.

Electric Motors have class insulation of thermal resistance Н in accordance with GOST 8865. Versions on a mounting mode - IM1001, IM4001 and M9701 are in accordance with GOST 2479. The input device is fixed on the right if to take a detached view from the appearing end of the shaft. Cooling method of Electric Motors - IC0141 is in accordance with GOST 20459. The weight of Electric Motors and specifications for a nominal operating mode at voltage 1140/660V

(for the Electric Motor 2ЭДКОФ250М4 - at voltage 660/380V) and frequency 50Hz are also given in Table 13.1.

Electric Motors are oriented for operation from a circuit of three-phase alternate current by frequency50Hz. One-high-speed Electric Motors to 200kW inclusively and double-speed Electric Motors with powerto 65/200kW are inclusively produced by power on voltages 660, 1000 and 1140V. One-high-speedElectric Motors over 200 kW and double-speed Electric Motors with power from above 65/200kW areproduced by power on voltages 1000 and 1140V.

Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IP55 is in accordance with GOST 17494.Electric Motors have class insulation of thermal resistance in accordance with GOST 8865.The input device of Electric Motors B250 is fixed on an engine support on the right if to take a

detached view from the appearing end of the shaft. The input device of Electric Motors B315 andB355 is fixed on end shield from the side opposite to the appearing end of the shaft.

Cooling method of Electric Motors - ICW37 is in accordance with GOST 20459.The weight of Electric Motors and specifications for a nominal operating mode at voltage 1140V and

Electric Motors are produced according to specifications of Technical Conditions ТУ У 31.1-05758925-012:2006.Aspect of a climatic modification and a category of arranging of the Electric Motors produced for home

market and export deliveries to the countries with a temperate climate - У2,5, for export deliveries to the countries with a damp and dry tropical climate - Т2,5 in accordance with GOST 15150.

Nominal operating mode of Electric Motors - S1 is in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173. Operation of one-high-speed Electric Motors in mode S4 which is in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173 with cyclic duration factor of 60%, number of switchings on at an hour 40 (Electric Motors with power to 250kW) or 20 (Electric Motors with power 250kW and above) and inertia factor 1,2 (Electric Motors with power to 250kW) or 2,5 (Electric Motors with power 250kW and above) is acceptable.

Operation of double-speed Electric Motors in mode S4 which is in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173 with cyclic duration factor of 60%, number of switchings on at an hour 75 (Electric Motors with power to 85/280kW) or 30 (Electric Motors with power 85/280kW and above) and inertia factor 1,7 (Electric Motors with power to 85/280kW) or 2,5 (Electric Motors with power 85/280kW and above) is acceptable.

Electric Motors are oriented for operation from a circuit of three-phase alternate current by frequency 50Hz. One-high-speed Electric Motors to 200kW inclusively and double-speed Electric Motors with power to 65/200kW are inclusively produced by power on voltages 660, 1000 and 1140V. One-high-speed Electric Motors over 200 kW and double-speed Electric Motors with power from above 65/200kW are produced by power on voltages 1000 and 1140V.

Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IP55 is in accordance with GOST 17494.Electric Motors have class insulation of thermal resistance Н in accordance with GOST 8865.The input device of Electric Motors ЭДКBФ250 is fixed on an engine support on the right if to take a

detached view from the appearing end of the shaft. The input device of Electric Motors ЭДКBФ315 and ЭДКBФ355 is fixed on end shield from the side opposite to the appearing end of the shaft.

Cooling method of Electric Motors - ICW37 is in accordance with GOST 20459.The weight of Electric Motors and specifications for a nominal operating mode at voltage 1140V and

Aspect of a climatic modification and a category of arranging of Electric Motors - У2,5 are in accordance with GOST 15150.

Nominal operating mode of Electric Motors - S3 is in accordance with GOST 183 and GOST 28173 with cyclic duration factor of 60%.

Electric Motors are oriented for operation from a circuit of three-phase alternate current by voltage 380V and frequency of 50 Hz.

Protection index of Electric Motors from external effects - IP54 is in accordance with GOST 17494, a protection index of the fan from air input - IP20 is in accordance with GOST 17494.

Class of thermal resistance of stator winding insulation - F, armature coils - Н is in accordance with GOST 8865.

Version on a mounting mode - IM1001 is in accordance with GOST 2479.The input device is located from above and ensures a sharp turn on 180° for connection of

energy cables on the right or on the left.Cooling method of Electric Motors - IСА0141 is in accordance with GOST 20459.The weight of Electric Motors and specifications for a nominal operating mode are given in

Specifications of Electric Motors of series 3В, 3ВР, 2В, 2ВР and ВАО2 at power supply from Schneider Electric

At power supply of Electric Motors with self-ventilation from frequency shifters the correct choice of power and the load torque have a special value. At operation of such Electric Motor on rates below nominal, conditions of its refrigeration are aggravated and long operation with the nominal factor (power) can lead to excessive overheating and an Electric Motor exit out of opera-tion or to considerable reduction of a period of its maintenance.

On Figure 22.1 the area is presented is long an admissible effective power on heat, and on Figure 22.2 - is long admissible on heat of driving torque of electric motors at speed regulation by change of output frequency of the frequent converter.

The graphs presented on Figures 22.1 - 22.2 are spreaded to all Electric Motors of series 3В, 3ВР, 2В and 2ВР, and also on four - six- and eight - pole Electric Motors of series ВАО2 produced by Joint Stock Company «PEMP named after K. Marx».

Power on Figure 22.1 is presented in fractions from rated power РН, and driving torque on Figure 22.2 - in fractions from nominal factor МН. The Rated power, rated load torque and nomi-nal synchronous rate of Electric Motors of series 3В and 3ВР are given in Table 22.1, Electric Motors of series 2В and 2ВР - in Table 22.2, Electric Motors of series ВАО2 - in Table 22.3.

Magnitude of the short-term reloading moment does not depend on rate of rotation of the Electric Motor and is defined by magnitude of the maximum transitive current of a corresponding frequency shifter.

The data given on Figures 22.1 and 22.2 has been received as a result of trials with Schneider Electric frequency shifters of series Altivar and spreaded only to converters of this series.

The frequent asynchronous electric motor as a part of flameproof electric motors produced by Joint Stock Company «PEMP named after K. Marx» and Schneider Electric frequency shifters (FS) of series Altivar can be applied on productions with mains voltage 380V where there is a possibility of installation of an FS outside of an explosive zone.

Optimum application of electric motors with the self-ventilation, produced now by Joint Stock Company «PEMP named after K. Marx», is the electric motor for axial and centrifugal pumps, fans and air engines, i.e. gears with «fan» load. At these gears at reduction of rate the load moment decreases at least square, i.e. lowering of rate, for example, in 2 times in comparison with the nominal calls drag torque reduction by the Electric Motor shaft at least in 4 times. On Figure 22.3.1 in one co-ordinate plain are given:

- Area it is long admissible driving torque of the Electric Motor at change of its rate by means of the frequent converter;

- A range of the moment of a load «fan» gears at speed regulation of rotation of an actuating motor.

Apparently from Figure 22.3.1, on all frequencies lower 50Hz the admissible moment of the Electric Motor considerably exceeds gear drag torque, and the control speed range makes from 5 to 50Hz, i.e. from 10 to 100 % of rated speed (thus the Electric Motor rated power should exceed power of the gear on 5 %).

One more scope of application of the frequent electric motor - screw air engines and screw pumps. At these gears at reduction of rate the load moment also decreases, but not so is appreciable as at axial and centrifugal aggregates. Apparently from Figure 22.3.2, the control speed range will make approximately 15 - 50Hz or 30 - 100% of rated speed (thus the Electric Motor rated power should exceed power of the gear on 10%). In most cases, such range is sufficient for adjusting of capacity of screw air engines and pumps.

Except the aggregates specified above, the flameproof frequent electric motor is widely applied in piston air engines and pumps. These gears have fixed drag torque at any rate. Apparently from Figure 22.3.3, at a correct choice of engine power (power of the gear is less than Electric Motor rated power approximately on 15%) the control speed range of the piston gear will make 20 - 50Hz or 40 - 100% of rated speed.
