Method of Work

Prior to work Commencing;

1. Operatives will arrive to site and sign in at the gatehouse. 2. Operatives will receive a site induction at 8.15a.m. in the Induction Room. 3. Following Induction finger print recognition will be set up at the gate house allowing

access and egress to site via the turnstiles. New temporary entry systems will be in place during Social distancing procedures.

4. Operatives will adhere to the three-point PPE site rules that are in place.

The Working Process;

1. The Supervisor will assess the Plot to ensure it is clear and all works have been completed by other trades to allow flooring works to commence.

2. Barriers/Signage will be erected to minimise access to the work area. 3. Other trades will be restricted from the work area. 4. Uzin PE360 penetrating primer will be applied to the subfloor using a long pile roller.

This will achieve a key for the smoothing compound. 5. Uzin NC105 Smoothing Compound will be mixed in a bucket. The smoothing

compound will then be applied to the primed subbase with a screed rake or trowel at a nominal thickness of 3mm.

6. The smoothing compound will be treated with a spikey roller immediately after application. This will remove any air bubbles in the mix and any imperfection in the finish.

7. Once the smoothing compound has fully cured (generally the next day), the Tarkett Safetread Vinyl will be installed to the surface using Uzin KE2000S Adhesive.

8. The area will then be assessed and a suitable starting line will be set out on the floor. 9. The Safetread installation will commence from the set-out line. Installation will be as

the Manufacturers guidelines. 10. On completion, the installation will be inspected by the Alexis manager and QA sheet

completed and presented to the relevant Telford Homes floor manager. 11. Protection will then be installed. 12. Installation of the bedroom carpets will then proceed with concrete pin gripper being

installed to perimeter of the bedrooms. 13. A door bar will be installed to bedroom doorways. 14. Roma underlay will be installed directly to the subfloor. 15. The relevant carpet will be laid out in the bedroom, stretched onto the gripper, cut into

the perimeter and then tucked around perimeter and into the door bar. 16. On completion, the installation will be inspected by the Alexis manager and QA sheet

completed and presented to the relevant Telford Homes floor manager. 17. The carpet will be swept/vacuumed off and carpet protection applied. 18. All material waste will be put in bins supplied by Telford Homes.
