TYPOGRAPHIC TUTORIAL

1. Firstly select any picture that you like. I choose Alias picture as my model. Make sure, thepicture is clear and sharp on model picture. Then crop on the face part.

2. File>New> create new file with 2000x2863 dimension. Then put the crop picture to new file.Then adjust until it fit as canvas size.

3. Then, use pen tool to select face only. Then, after complete close loop, right click >make selection > ok.

4. Then click selection tool > right click on picture> select inverse > press delete onkeyboard to remove unwanted part.

5. Then, goto background layer and change to black. You can use this tool or usehue/saturation. Set lightness to -100.

6. Then, use eraser and take soft edge brush and set opacity to 50%. This eraser useto clean up edge of the picture. Erase patiently until you get result like this

7. Then, you need to enhance the picture, for example adjust the pic colour saturation,colour balance, colour level. Shadow and contrast and etc. All this adjustment setting

you can get here. This is my result after I increase the saturation, and change the

shadow setting. If you like add some glitter, you can add to their lips.

8. Now its a major part of this art. First, takepen tool and draw at their face. Forexample, I draw on their forehead. After dram the line, leave it and take Horizontal type

tool .Click cursor on the line that we draw before. Now you can type any word you

want with various types of font and size. You need to play with this until it complete for

the whole picture.

9. Each layer of that word, we need toResterize Type. Why? You can try why we need toresterize it. Just right click on text layer> resterize type. This layer will become

uneditable layer.

10.After complete write your word for the whole picture, like sample below, put all textlayers on one group folder. Like sample below, I put in folder Best(1). Right click>

Duplicate Group(2). Then, right click on Best copy 2>merge group. This function will

combine all layers into one layer. Duplicate group only for our backup.

11.Then> hold ctrl key> and click on theBest copy 2layer inside the thumbnail. Please followthe cursor placement in the picture below. On the right picture, is a result after click on the

best copy 2 thumbnail. Dont forgot to hold ctrl key.

12.Leave the selection, then click on the picture layer>then copy>andpaste. Either use ctrl+cfor copy, or ctrl+v forpaste. Other that you can go to edit>copy(2).Edit>paste. After that,

you need to only show the result layer. To do this, you need to close the other eyes

layer(2).

13.You can add extra picture to enhance this picture, for example spectacles, necklace and etc.Just google it to find your extra picture.
