CATEGORY FEATURE DESCRIPTION

Wavelength Usage Reports

Wavelength match discovers exis3ng wavelength carrier and client services and displays via tabular Wavelength Carrier / Services reports, Wavelength Op3cal Cross Connect (OCH) reports, Wavelength Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) and/or Op3cal Data Unit (ODUk) cross connects reports, etc, with associated informa3on and naviga3ons. In addi3on, the Wavelength Usage Matrix displays the WDM wavelengths possible on a given DWDM network ring specified by an NE and Line AID. Each table cell represents if a specific wavelength is in use. Addi3onal features are provided for FlexGrid.

LLDP Router IntegrationnetFLEX iden3fica3on of the far end network element connected to a transponder client port, if it has been discovered through Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP), even though the far end network element is not managed by netFLEX. These are iden3fied graphically on Logical Views.

A-Z Detailed Circuit Trace Circuit Trace displays the structure of a circuit from end to end. Circuits may be contained in one network element, or may be carried through a number of network elements. The informa3on is displayed in both graphical and tabular format, with detailed informa3on and naviga3ons.

Fiber Panel DiagramThe FDP Fiber Diagram graphically displays interconnects between Fiber Distribu3on Panels (FDPs) and allows them to be followed end to end, showing each of the FDPs traversed between two ports, and all of the fibers that exist between adjacent FDPs. The fibers display the transmission direc3on and alarm color of the NE ports that they inter-connect. In addi3on it allows those fiber links to be provisioned graphically.

Schedule Automated PMThe netFLEX system automa3cally schedules PM collec3on for any facility that is cross-connected and for any op3cal ports. The Schedule PM form can also be used to schedule and deschedule automa3c data retrieval of 24 hour performance counts of a specified facility.

Circuit Level PM Reports The Retrieve Circuit PM form retrieves in real 3me all collected 24 hour PM on a specific circuit, regardless of what monitor types (MONTYPES) are set in the PM preferences tab

Graphical or Tabular Service PM View Display PM retrieves the PM data for the specified user and service view and displays the informa3on in both graphical and tabular format. This query displays the PM counts for facili3es that have been scheduled for automa3c PM retrieval.

Ethernet PM / SLA A collec3on of queryable reports providing Ethernet service performance data, interface performance, excep3on, and capacity forecast repor3ng for select network element types.

Predictive Analytics/ThresholdingThe netFLEX system logs all autonomous performance monitoring threshold crossings reported by network elements. For polled collec3on, netFLEX can report a thresholded "Performance Quality Value". These Analy3cs can provide predic3ve informa3on for proac3ve maintenance.

Problem PM Discovery The Problem PM form is used to iden3fy facili3es which have non-zero counts. Sortable, filterable, queryable, and exportable, it focuses a]en3on on the 'bad actors' worst performing facili3es.

Circuit Analysis ToolThe Circuit Analysis Tool displays Trace informa3on including the card and ports types as well as real 3me alarm, PM, cross-connect, and other audits. For Wavelength circuits CAT will also audit the op3cal light levels where possible. It allows rapid trouble isola3on across even mul3-vendor mul3-technology circuits and services.

Optical Power ManagementAZ Power forms provide real 3me monitoring of the expected and measured power at each decode point through a circuit, for specific network elements. Both a tabular report, and graphical display are provided, for power, loss, and commisssioing loss. Z-bars indicate the provisioned target power and target devia3on.

NE Backup & Restore For select NEs, these features provide the ability to perform database backups and restorals to and from the netFLEX system. Op3ons included scheduled, repeat, real 3me backup and local or remote backup storage.

Proactive Waves Restoration(Control-Loop)

Proac3ve OTN and Wavelength Restora3on (POWR) features respond to alarms and events from OTN/WDM equipment, autonomously gather circuit based diagnos3c informa3on, and perform autonomous restora3on of facili3es and service.

PM Worklist features

Enhanced Performance Monitoring (EPM) is a netFLEX configura3on which provides a set of features and tools to collect and display NE data. This informa3on is used to analyze circuits for problem detec3on and preven3on. Key features include Automated circuit informa3on feed, Real 3me PM display and historical PM collec3on and storage, Circuit trace and circuit analysis including circuit audit, Alarm management features, Interfaces to trouble 3cket systems, Interfaces to automated test systems, and a Worklist with worklist management features to monitor selected circuits targeted for proac3ve maintenance.

Circuit Provisioning Both point-and-click A-Z graphical provisioning and table driven provisioning provide mul3-vendor, mul3-genera3on, and mul3-technology circuit provisioning, using human directed or our automated Path Computa3on Engine for route choices.

Wavelength Services ProvisioningBoth point-and-click A-Z graphical provisioning and table driven provisioning provide mul3-vendor DWDM/CWDM/OTN wavelenght service provisioning, using human directed or our automated Path Computa3on Engine for route choices. Mul3-vendor provisioning applies to select WDM equipment where interworking is supported.
