Your Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) continues to work alongside Father David and is adding many reasons to become more involved at Saint Paul the Apostle. Along with our parish organizations, the PPC continues to build and inspire community spirit.

You are invited to consider a rare opportunity to serve as a member of the Parish Pastoral Committee (PPC). This group works in con-cert with our pastor through the guidance of the Holy Spirit to: • Identify parish needs. • Develop a vision for the parish. • Plan programs to achieve goals and objectives. • Promote community. • Encourage spiritual growth and responsible leadership.

We have one opening for a three-year term to serve alongside sev-eral other members. If after prayerful consideration you would like to be considered to serve on the PPC, please contact current Chair Rudy Perez this week at rperez@swbp.com. Watch for a new member to be announced in May.

Pioneers in Faith for Sixty Years

We have a rich and beautiful history at Saint Paul the Apostle, beginning in 1956. Watch for a celebration of our 60 years coming this Fall.

Each year the church welcomes RCIA Inquirers (who wish to learn more), Cate-chumens (who have not been baptized) and Candidates who have been baptized into a Christian faith and now want to become Catholic. After many months of study, we celebrate new (or newly confirmed) members of our Catholic faith at the Easter Vigil Mass. In this Easter season, Saint Paul the Apostle enjoyed the most participation we’ve experienced in several years. Welcome to all our new members into our faith and our church!

2015-2016 Parish Pastoral Council

Good Friday made memorable by Saint Paul Hispanic Community On Good Friday our community participated in Stations of the Cross, including a very special live performance by our Hispanic community. This performance allowed us to move along with Jesus through the 14 stations, remembering and considering the suffering of Christ. As we re-cite prayers we are able to meditate on specific events from Christ’s last day on Earth as man. Thank you to all who performed so beautifully and helped to enrich our experience of this pil-grimage with Jesus.

Heartfelt thanks go to Barbie Lenzer who stepped forward to cover the material costs of the new Bride’s room. Barbie is pleased to honor her parents—long-time members of our parish—Barb and Lou Lenzer. Her generosity contin-ues the family’s legacy of selfless giving to Saint Paul.

A number of parishioners donated items and talents to complete the facelift so our Saint Paul brides and attendants will have a lovely space to prepare for wedding ceremonies.
