– Ca:Dark red

– Sr: Crimson

– Ba: light green

• 2 valence electrons • Metallic and Ductile• Shiny silvery white• Malleable

Natural Occurrences

• Found in earth’s crust• Rock Structures• Magnesium is found in Carmelite, magnetite and

dolomite. Extracted from sea water • Calcium is found in found in chalk, limestone,

gypsum and anhydrite

• Fireworks• Flares• To create a crimson
