Standard housing issuitable for use in plenum ceilings.Vertically adjustable hangerbracket with proprietary Alkco-Locbar hangers lock onto T-bar or canbe supported from buildingstructure. Bar hangers rotate 90 o.Surface housings: 20 gauge coldrolled steel with universal mountingcapability. KO pattern in top andend accommodates standard1-device outlet box cover forinstallation without a canopy. Top,end and back KO pattern allowsmounting with supplied canopylmounting plate over 4" octagonaloutlet boxes. Standard finish iswhite polyester resin powder coat.

PANELFACEPLATES

Injection molded clear acrylicpanels with chamfered edges.Bottom edge is hot-stamped witha silverized reflector for uniformillumination. Message is reverse silkscreened onto panels. Panels arepre-installed into a die-formed 18gauge cold rolled steel face platewhich attaches to housing withtorsion springs. There are noexposed fasteners on faceplate.Standard faceplate finish is whitepolyester-resin powder coat.

ELECTRICALA.AMPSOne or two 8 watt pre-heatnormal power factor ballasts.On two lamp models, lampsare individually ballasted toallow one lamp to be wired toa separate emergency circuit.1 or 2 F8T5 lamps are suppliedinstalled in fixtures. 120V isstandard, 277V optional.Emergency Battery Back-upProvides 2 hours of illuminationin event of power failure.Standard features include:120V/277V dual-tap, Solid statetemperature compensatingvariable float charger; long-lifesealed lead-acid battery; line-latched low voltage discon-nect; voltage sensitivebrownout circuit and AC lock-out. Battery carries 3-yearreplacement/7-year pro-ratawarranty.
