There has been several names since I can remember way back to the good ol' days in New Orleans, Louisiana, when "Hot Music" was called "Rag Time music", "Jazz Music", "Gut Bucket music", "Swing music" and now "Hot Music". So you see instead of dying out, it only gets new names.
