What did the Navajo homes look like??

Navajo homes were called hogans, which are traditional earth houses.

They were made out of wood and clay, and dome shaped, which helped protect them from strong winds and weather.

The door was always facing the east, which is where the sun rises.

The Navajo Art:The Navajo are famous for their jewelry, and

they made belts, necklaces, earrings, and rings from sterling silver.

They also made sand paintings, which are paintings of fine colored sand, on a neutral background.

They also made wool blankets, which were very colorful and had many patterns.

Since they lived in an area where clay was a natural resource, they used clay to make pots.
