BCPS/BCPL SAIL Initiative
All students in Baltimore County Public Schools will be able to obtain a public library card.
At the library, students can check out books, Playaways, magazines, music CDs, and other materials.
From home, students can place holds on books and other materials and also renew their books.
From home, students can check out and use e-books, audiobooks, and other digital resources.

More benefits of the SAIL card:
Students can sign up to use computers at the public library
Students can check out DVDs and video games (with parental permission).
A one-time only dropping of owed fees is possible with a new SAIL card.

Got Homework page – BrainFuse (online tutoring and homework help) and BCPL Online Help (Ask a Question) require a valid library card/SAIL card.

Homework Help
Teacher Loan Cards
•BCPSOne card is adequate ID for obtaining a teacher loan card; no need to get principal’s signature on the form.
•Six weeks loan, but no renewals.
•No charges if books are lost or damaged.
•DVDs and video games not eligible for teacher loan.
•Must be renewed annually!
Teacher Collection Request Order up to 30 items related to a specific topic for a
six-week loan period with no overdue fees.
Complete the form or call in your request to the branch location of your choice.
Materials are gathered and packaged within a two-week time period for pickup at the designated branch. They are then held for 7 days.
Materials may be returned to any branch location.
Up to five copies of a title are allowed if they are available. You can also put specific titles into your request.
