Where we workACP’s unique agreement with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) allows us to use USAID’s ongoing partnerships with Palestinian organizations to identify those most in need of your support. Since 2008, ACP has delivered more than $600,000 in donations to Palestinian organizations.

Palestinian families often face stress and trauma due to political violence. Children often experience the worst trauma when they are caught up in conflict, witness violence and discrimination, and risk isolation from friends and family because of travel restrictions between East Jerusalem and the West Bank. These experiences negatively impact their ability to learn and excel in school. To counter the negative impact of political violence, organizations like Spafford Children’s Center provide psycho-social and special education services to disadvantaged and vulnerable children. These services enable students to develop the skills they need to succeed in mainstream classrooms.

Palestinian institutions like St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital Group provide charitable eye care for thousands of patients who otherwise would not be able to afford treatment.

One child in every Palestinian household suffers from congenital eye disease, which is often the result of consanguineous marriage.

Fortunately, the vast majority of children with vision impairments can be cured through simple, low-cost interventions.

Since it opened in 1990, Bethlehem’s Holy Family Hospital has provided antenatal care and safely delivered more than 57,000 babies. Most of its patients reside in and around Bethlehem, which struggles with high rates of unemployment and poverty. As a result, most pregnant women are not able to access the essential care they need for themselves and their newborn.

You can make a difference in their lives by funding one of many interventions that contribute to a healthy pregnancy and safe childbirth.

Palestinian institutions like Augusta Victoria Hospital provide care to cancer and diabetes patients in the West Bank and Gaza. Although cancer is Palestine’s third leading cause of death and diabetes is widespread, most health facilities in Palestine lack the equipment and trained health care professionals necessary to treat and manage these chronic conditions. You can support Palestinians living with cancer and diabetes in multiple ways.
