1. Cut Geyser cardstock to 8 ½ x 5 ½” and fold in half to create card base 2. Cut Notebook patterned paper to 4 1/8 x 5 ¼” and adhere, centered, to base 3. Cut Snowflake patterned paper to 3 x 4 ¾”. 4. Wrap and knot a length of Sheer Ribbon around Snowflake block, about 1” up from the bottom of the block. Adhere block

almost flush with the left side and about ½” down from the top of the card base. 5. Cut “Bird” Card from Graphic Cards patterned paper and adhere in upper right corner, almost flush with the edges 6. Hand-cut four Ornament shapes from Ornament patterned paper. Re-group back together in the lower right corner

(OPTIONAL: Adhere on Pop-dots) 7. Add a couple Buttons under the Ornament grouping 8. Add Sentiment from Word Stickers (styles vary)

1. Using Charcoal cardstock, adhere the Printed Tag (styles vary) to the cardstock, then trim, leaving about ¼” on

all sides 2. Punch a hole, using the existing hole as a guide, and thread and knot short lengths of both the Cream Sheer and

Green Striped Ribbons 3. Cut or punch two circles from Graphic Circles patterned paper (Glitter Red Heart, Red Glitter Diagonal Stripe)

NOTE: I trimmed them down to between ¾” and 1” 4. Layer vertically and adhere punched Circles with one Circle Sticker (styles vary – I used the Green with White

Polka Dots) and one small button down the right side of the Tag 5. Tuck Acrylic Square under the left side, centered, edge of the Tag. Vertically layer a Circle Sticker (styles vary)

Merry Christmas American Crafts – Shimelle Christmas Magic

1. Cut White cardstock to 5 x 10” and fold in half to create card base 2. Cut White Woodgrain patterned paper to 4 ¾ x 4 ¾” and adhere, centered, to card base 3. Cut Color Samples Grid patterned paper to 3 ¼ x 3” and adhere about 1 ½” down from the top and ¼” in from the

right side 4. Cut Red Diagonal Pinstripe patterned paper to 6 x 1 ½”, notch both ends and adhere about ¼” up from the bottom

1. Cut Red Words to 2 ¾ x 2 ¾”, trim a notch to follow the one in the Kraft Envelope and adhere, centered, to Kraft Envelope

2. Cut two 3” Holly strips from the Product Identification strip. Adhere one strip about ¼” up from the bottom of the Envelope

3. Hand-cut “To You and Yours” from Words patterned paper and adhere along the top right edge of the Holly strip (OPTIONAL: Adhere on popdots)

4. Punch or cut three stars from the Color Samples Grid patterned paper and adhere, scattered, on Envelope front. 5. Cut White Woodgrain to 2 ½ x 2 ½” tag and curve the top to follow the Tag 6. Hand-cut or punch Snowflake from Simple Stories Graphic Circles patterned paper and adhere, centered, to Tag 7. Adhere second Holly strip about 1/8” up from the bottom of the Tag 8. 1. Cut Chestnut cardstock 8 ½ x 5 ½” and fold in half to create card base 2. Cut Snowflake patterned paper to 4 1/8 x 5 ¼” and adhere, centered, to card base 3. Wrap a length of Silver Velvet Trim about ½” up from the bottom of the card 4. Cut Bo Bunny Square Journaling Card to 2 ¾ x 2 ¾” (I chose to use a Blue Card (styles vary) to stay with a color

blue and white color scheme) 5. Adhere Acrylic Square to the top center, backside, of the Bo Bunny Square block. Adhere Block along bottom of

card, centered side-to-side 6. Hand-cut Cocoa Mug from Simple Stories Cozy Journaling Cards sheet and adhere to lower right corner of Bo

4. Hand-cut Mason Jars from Square Jouranling Cards patterned paper. Tie and knot a short length of Green Chevron Striped Ribbon around the Candy Can in the Jar. Stick a Tree Pin through the knot

5. Hand-cut the pieces of “Word” Tree Journaling Card from Cozy Christmas Journaling Cards sheet into separate pieces.

6. Adhere “Joy” along the bottom left side of the left-hand Jar 7. Adhere “Noel”, “Deck the Halls”, “Merry & Bright” and “Fa La La La”, stacked, along the right side of the right-

hand Jar 8. Tuck the Star under one of the Word Strips

9. TIPS:

Make “Card Fronts” to create more cards. This is especially useful when creating bulk cards. When ready to use, simply adhere the “card front” to plain white cardstock base or pre-made card bases.

Create Postcard-style cards

Use the photos of the cards for placement of elements

Inking edges can help define layers, but is optional

Use your computer to create letters, words and sentiments

Alter Chipboard with paint, ink, markers, cardstock or patterned paper – even color with crayons

Some elements in the kits vary in style, but making substitutions just personalizes your cards

Using left-overs and the same designs will produce different cards by simply altering an element: butterflies instead of hearts. Or a different sentiment tag.

How to create block letters or words on your computer using MicroSoft Word

In a new document, insert a text box. You can create one box for the word(s) or you can create individual boxes for each letter.

Drag the box to an approximate length to fit your sentiment (you can adjust it as you go)

Type in your desired sentiment or letter. Space the letters of your word if you’re going to create one box and cut it apart. Center your single letters. Adjust the text box to make it bigger if necessary

Highlight the text and select your desired font

Right-click in the text box and open the “Format Text Box” link.

In the pop-up window, select “Colors and Lines”

At the top, select your “Fill” color.

Reselect your text and change the font color to “White”

Print.

Use the text box outline to cut along and trim out your Sentiment box.

Cut between the individual letters and adhere.
