Estimate obtained from CPWD, Ajmer for Worth Rs. 16,16,700 for repair and renovation of Roof of Youth Hostel Dining Hall and Dormitories Both Rooms and Toilate has already been forwarded to your office for administrative sanction/funds. but sanction and fund awaited.

Conclusion in Brief 1. It is observed that even after 9 -10 years establishment of UDAIPUR YOUTH HOSTEL , performance of hostel is not satisfactory as

records were not up to date and occupancy of the hostel is very less as compare to other hostels. It is recommended to improve the

performance more efforts to be done by hostel inchage by sending letter to universities, by developing web site and advertising the hostel

felicities in newspaper/ magazines etc.

2. It is observed that Youth Hostels are doing well and getting surplus of fund by their activities but same time it is observed that in most of

Hostel books of accounts are self-certified by the Hostel in charge and not audited by professional CA. It is strongly suggested that

accounts should be audited annually by independent CA appointed by Rajasthan Youth Board

3. It is observed that In premises of Jodhpur Youth hostel there was encroachment by private party

4. In Jodhpur Youth Hostel also observed that there is development work of 5 carore has been sanction under MP quota of Jodhpur MP.

Which is appreciable effort of Youth Hostel In charge

5. The Occupancy of this Hostel has been excellent Jodhpur Youth Hostel. It is observed that Hostel has obtained the ISO certificate for its

facilities and services. It is the only Hostel of Rajasthan certified by ISO certificate.

Other Suggestion

" Youth Hostel as Youth Advisory Cell "

Set up a call center with a toll free number to answer all the queries of the youth related to career, business, skill building and other

related areas.

The state needs a support cell which helps the youth with various activities. For e.g. most young entrepreneurs do not know how to

approach for loans, subsidies and incentives to start their business. This cell will help them get all the relevant information.

The Youth hostel should also double up as an activity center with events, conferences, discussions and other activities happening. A

small cafeteria may be set up, a discussion board, suggestion box and notice board.

Creation of a web portal for problem redressal – Create a website where people can post their concerns and get answers or

responses from the youth cell.
