Allegion is a provider of security products & solutions for homes & businesses. Established in 2013, Allegion spun off from Ingersoll Rand Plc., having 27 global brands under its portfolio including CISA.

CISA, established since 1926, is known for producing & patenting the first electrically controlled lock. It is also the first brand in the world to develop smart-card locks. Presently, CISA develops & markets cylinders & locks for any kind of door, including electronic locks, panic bars, door closers, safes & padlocks.

System Description – Hotel Environment

CISA access control solutions makes use of electronic control devices with communicate with a centralized supervisory control system. This access control system combines local hardwired non dedicated network & a wireless network. The wireless network is used to communicate with the locks while the hardwired network collects information and sends it to the control point. Advantages of such systems range from better security, efficiency, lower installation costs (less wiring required & locks are battery powered, hence easy installation) & easy management of cards & accesses to various rooms.
