{Editorial}Namaste!Dear friends, Chers amis,

Happy Monsoon Season !

The next session for general French starts on July 20! Don't miss the admission (until July 18) !

We remind you that it is also possible to sponsor a student. By this way you receive regularly a personalized follow-up. Our next session of French classes for professionals of trekking starts on July 25. With these special bi-annual French classes many Nepalese guides are now francophones in Nepal. Alliance Française in Kathmandu participates actively in the development of tourism in Nepal, 30,000 French people visit Nepal each year!

It's also time to me to say goodbye after two amazing years. I warmly thank all my collaborators, all partners, all friends of the Alliance and all the artists with whom I had the opportunity and the pleasure to work. I had a great time in Nepal. See you soon! All the best to Alliance Française in Kathmandu!

The TEF (Test d’Evaluation du Français) is a certificate, issued by Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP), which is known all over the world, among international firms and educational institutions. Valid during one year, this certificate can be useful if you have higher education projects in France, if you want to be recruited in a French-speaking company or if you want to immigrate.

The teF adapted for Quebec – teFaQ – is the version of the TEF required by the Canadian Immigration and Communities Ministry in the case of a visa application for Quebec.

Alliance Française in Kathmandu will organize session of TEF and TEFaQ in september. Admissions for the session will be open during all the month of August 2011.Examination will be on september 22nd

Candidates for the TEF or TEFaQ exams can benefit from a specific training program at the Alliance Française just before the exams.

{Course}FrenCh session For treKKing ProFessionAls

session: 25 July - 19 August Admission: 5 - 22 July

In Nepal, a lot of trekkers come from French speaking countries, creating a growing demand for guides able to work using French language. This is why Alliance Française, with all its experience in educational field, propose a special program for trekking professionals, in order to teach them what they really need to know in French.

These classes (three levels of 40 hours each) are based on an oral approach, to develop all the oral skills needed by the professionals, to speak as naturally as possible.

Q&A "i don’t speak english", "i haven’t my slC" : can i register ?

Any professional can join the classes, either the complete beginner or the one who already speak some French : the former will start from the beginning while the latter will take a test before the session starts to determine what his level is.

No need to be fluent in English to take classes : the levels are taught by Nepalese teachers and the classes are mainly conducted in French.

"But i don’t have much time" : when are organized the classes ?Classes are organized twice a year, during monsoon and winter, and only during four weeks (two hours a day from Monday to Friday).
