billioninassets,selectedDocuSigneSignatureservicetocompleteitsclosedendloanprocessin

compliancewithupcomingchangesinRegulationZ.Thisregulationaffectsmorethan7,950activestatus

federallyinsuredcreditunionsandtheir90millionmembers.

ThroughDocuSign,Alliantmemberswillelectronicallysignloanapplicationsquicklyandeasily,avoiding

thehassleofprinting,signingandfaxingormailingbulky,multipageapplications.Alliantwilllaunch

DocuSignthissummertoits250,000membersandanticipatesnearly1,000closedendloanswillbee

Airlines,andselectbusinessaffiliates,employeegroupsandcommunitiesacrosstheUnitedStates. Of

thefinancialservicesoffered,loansareasignificantcomponentofAlliantsportfolio.In2009,Alliant

originated$1.1billioninloanstomembersandtotalloansoutstandinggrewbyninepercent

significantgrowthduringaturbulenteconomicyear.

Today,Alliant

members

are

required

to

sign

an

open

end

loan

agreement

once

and

subsequent

transactionsarebasedupontheinitialsignedagreement.However,duetoregulatorychanges

affectingopenendloansbeginningJuly1,2010,Alliantwillconverttoclosedendlending.Memberswill

berequiredtosignloandocumentspriortodisbursal.AsthisisasignificantchangeforbothAlliantand

itsmembers,thecreditunionwantedasmooth,easytransitiontoanewsigningprocessforits

disparatemembers.

vendorsandparticipatinginnumerousdemonstrations,itwascleartoGormanandherother20
