Ahmed Abdel-Ghani (Chairman):Ahmed Abdel-Ghani (Chairman):

Since 1997, Mr. Metawie is the Chairman of Allied Consultants Ltd which provides consulting services for the design and site supervision of Electro-Mechanical systems and facilities.

He was the Divisional Head of the Mechanical Engineering & Industry Department's Section in Cairo, Egypt. He was a Director of Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners) since 1989.

Duties of Mr. Metawie include basic design; detailed design; preparation of specifications and tender documents; follow-up; supervision of construction works; and commissioning of treatment plants and building services including, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, kitchen and laundry, pumping stations building management systems, workshop equipment and further special technical tasks.

• Mr. Metawie's experience record includes over 100 projects in 15 countries of the Middle East and Africa. His project experience lies in a variety of works such as infrastructure and building services related, mechanical works for hospitals, hotels, educational facilities, office buildings, mosques, military complexes, recreational facilities and housing schemes. This experience in a variety of design projects, along with his background in supervision and commissioning of works, gives Mr. Metawie a practical and flexible approach in conformity with both local and international standards.

• Mr. Metawie is a recognized code writer and has prepared the Part (2) of the Egyptian and Arab Fire Protection Codes and has shared in the preparation of other parts of these codes.

• Mr. Metawie is a lecturer for ASHRAE seminars and continuous technical education courses for Engineers.

Mr. Ragab is a shareholder and a partner in Allied Consultants Ltd which provides consulting services for the design and site supervision of Electro-Mechanical systems and facilities.

Mr. Ragab is a Mechanical engineer since 1994. He has successfully contributed to the design of various HVAC, fire-fighting and plumbing systems, and surge analysis for pumping stations and water networks.

Prior to joining Allied Consultants, Mr. Ragab was a Project Engineer in Dar Al Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners), Egypt, where he was significantly involved in several projects including central heating, cooling and air-conditioning systems, plumbing services, domestic water systems and Fire fighting services.

Mr. El Sanhoury has more than 30 years of experience in the project executions of electrical installation. During his career he worked as a contractor as well as a consultant. This diversification has a major contribution to Mr. El Sanhoury excellence in the design of electrical works. This dual experience was gained during more than 3 years of work as a Technical Department Manager for one of the largest Electromechanical contractors and more than 12 years as a consultant for top consulting offices in Egypt.

Mr. El Sanhoury experience covers the project management, design, shop drawings and specification preparation, follow up, value engineering , bid analysis supervision of construction works and commissioning of the electrical services including transformer substation, emergency plant, elevators, electrical power, networks, lighting , earthing , lightning protection ,fire alarm system, sound system, telephone system, building automation and control system.

Mr. Sharsher is of over nineteen years experience as Consultant Engineer in research and design divisions, for Aluminum Industry, Multi-national Electromechanical Contracting Companies, and Multi-national Consulting Firms. He has also a substantial five years experience in project management.

Mr. Sharsher design capabilities are summarized in Prepare engineering work for HV/LV Systems as well as Earthing system, including, specifications, bid evaluation, design calculations, data sheets, construction drawings, estimated man-hours, bulk cost estimate and MTO. His involvement with international projects has improved his design capabilities and all his design works are carried out in accordance with International standards e.g. IEE wiring regulation, BS Codes of practices, IEC standards, Shell DEP’s Codes of practices, HK Codes of practices and Egyptian Codes of practice.

Mr. Sharshar Project Management Capabilities are summarized in coordination of electromechanical trades, starting from preparation of conceptual design, Fundament & Final Design, shop drawings, material submittals up to supervision of construction works. Duties also include preparing project schedules, progress reports and list of proposed corrective actions. Further activities in preparing variation orders, measuring cost implication due to design changes and claims preparation.

Full design and construction supervision for MEP works related to DCP1 of total capacity 43,500TR including ice thermal storage technique. Plant involves seven modules (2 chillers connected in series) of water cooled centrifugal chillers having total capacity 31,500TR used as base load chillers in addition to 6,000TR Glycol chillers and external melt-ice thermal energy storage system capable of feeding load at peak conditions with 6,000TR., plant overall efficiency of 0.93 KW/Ton. Plant serves Burj Dubai (World tallest building) in addition to the Dubai Mall. The plant thermal storage capacity is 40,000TR-Hr cooling capacity.
