    ! Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics is scheduled to meet behind closed doors for a technical briefing on theLobbying Act from officials in the Office of the Commissioner of Lobbying and Treasury Board.

    ! Foreign Affairs is scheduled to hear from representatives of Brandaid Project and Results Canada for its study of TheRole of the Private Sector in Achieving Canada's International Development Interests.

    ! Justice & Human Rights will be meeting to consider the request by 4 Members of the committee to Undertake a Study ofBill C-290, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (sports betting). The committee will also be considering the draft reportof the study onthe State of Organized Crime.

    ! Witnesses from Correctional Service of Canada will appear at the Public Safety committee as part of its comprehensivestudy into Drugs and Alcohol in Prisons before the committee goes in Camera to consider the draft report on this study.

    * Bill C-308, An Act respecting a Commission of Inquiry into the development and implementation of a national fishery rebuilding

    strategy for fish stocks off the coast of Newfoundland and LabradorThis bill would mandate the Governor in Council to establish a Commission of Inquiry to study the development andimplementation of a rebuilding strategy for fish stocks off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador.

    ** Bill C-280, An Act to establish a National Strategy for Chronic Cerebrospinal Venous Insufficiency (CCSVI)This bill would require the Minister of Health to convene a conference with the provincial and territorial ministers responsible forhealth for the purpose of establishing a national strategy to ensure clinical trials are started for the treatment of chroniccerebrospinal venous insufficiency (CCSVI) and to estimate the funding necessary to undertake those clinical trials in Canada andto track individuals who have been treated for CCSVI.
