We went down and visited Mr. and Mrs. Berg who moved into the Benspn place on Tavern Road. e ls going to raise horsei but hasn't made u p his mind which kind he wants. He is interes ted in Arabian and quarter horses. He bought a rea l pretty Pa lomino shetl ancf for the kids to ride and is he ever full of pep. We saw him running ar ound in the pas t u re kicking u p his he els.

I was over in Alpine Monday and went by to see Mr. and Mrs.· Walter Cassity They said good-by to me as they left for Butler, Mo·. on Wednesday. T hey used t o be ou r neighbors on Tavern Road and knew my old horse Lightning. We hated to see them go but I 1 11 bet they will com e back here as our clim ate is 10-0% better t han what Butler has.

Bob Al corn came to shoe m y horse Smokey T uesday and he t ol d us he had moved t o Lak·es i de. He used to live up on Willows Road but as mos t of his customers are around there he thou g ht it ·wgul d be easier on him and gas.

Always listen to the other fellow's troubles so you can tell him how much worse yours are.
