The Palazzo Alvera Altana occupies the top floors of a familyhome. The Palazzo Gheltoff Corner Alvera is storied ofcourse. Originally constructed in the 14th century, theproperty has remained in the the same family through manygenerations, a testimony to their dedication to Venice and it'sabsolutely unique qualities. Today, the property is an enclavewith the original structure having been divided into a handfulof very large apartments for various members of the family.This is a typical arrangement in these modern times, allowingfor the continued enjoyment of a family home reorganized toreflect the practical modern-day considerations of how evenaristocratic Italian families are living.

Palazzo Alvera Altana occupies an ideal position directly onthe Grand Canal with a number of outdoor spaces facing thisway and that to give maximum enjoyment of the exceptionalpostcard quality images seen through each window. • Children are welcome although it is understood they areproperly behaved and closely supervised. Dedicated childcare requested for any group with more than four childrenunder 8.

• Additional ground floor apartment, more casual in style,can sometimes be made available for an additional 5-6guests with advance notice. Please inquire.

• Up to 20 guests can be accommodated in the PalazzoAlvera Altana apartment for a meal. Please discuss any plansyou have for entertaining.

• Arrival to the property by private water taxi on the grandcanal side or on foot from San Samuele. The 'cavana' orground floor entrance is common to all building residents.

• Arrival/ departure can be any day of the week. Arrival time is4 pm- 5 pm; departure time is 10 am.
