Smoke Detectors are once again being of-fered by Saint Columba Cathedral for al-ready installed detectors for needy, elderly or disabled parishioners of our parish. Please register for the detectors by calling your par-ish office and Saint Columba will deliver the smoke detectors and can be picked up at the office when they arrive. MY LITTLE PRAYER PROCESS

1. Thank God for whomever and whatever you are most grateful today

2. Think about yesterday. Talk to God about the times when you were and were not the-best-version-of-yourself

3. What do you think God is trying to say to you today? Talk to Him about that

4. Ask God to forgive you for anything you have done wrong and to fill your heart with peace.

5. Talk to God about some way he is inviting you to change and grow.

6. Pray for the other people in your life by asking God to guide them and watch over them.

7. Pray the Our Father.

TODAY’S FOCUS: BEYOND THE BASICS

To observe the mere basics of our faith, to do the bare minimum, is a kind of indifference to God’s presence in our lives. Our quest must be God’s-to live and love more extravagantly, more fully. Valuing money more than God keeps us from the free-dom we need to let go of whatever gets in God’s way. God’s wisdom offers something greater than wealth.

Wisdom 7: 7-11

Psalm 90: 14 Hebrews 4: 12-13

Mark 10: 17-30 or 10: 17-27

Wisdom of God, empty me of whatever gets in the way of seeking you alone. Take my heart and enfold it, cress it, and stretch it to be open to your Wisdom, in whatever my life entails. Help me to seek your will and live what you teach me.
