  • DescriptionThe ATP3 is an amplified speaker systemfeaturing a subwoofer for extended lowfrequency response. The system isespecially designed for multimediacomputer applications. The unit iscomprised of a subwoofer and twosatellite speakers, and features separateVOLUME, BASS and TREBLE controls. Thesatellite speakers are uniquely designedto provide full tweeter and mid-bassresponse in a slim profile housing thatcomplements flat panel as well asstandard monitors. The satellite speakersare magnetically shielded and can beplaced close to a monitor withoutdistorting images.

    Placement of the Speakers andSubwoofer

All stereo information is heard from thesatellite speakers. The satellite speakersare magnetically shielded and can beplaced close to the monitor withoutdistorting images. Best stereo effect isobtained by placing the satellite speakersas far apart as practical. The subwoofercontains no stereo information and soundis non-directional. As a result, thesubwoofer does not have to be placed inany particular relation to the satellitespeakers. Placing the subwoofer on thefloor close to a wall or corner of a roomprovides maximum bass efficiency. Thesubwoofer is not magnetically shieldedand should not be placed close to themonitor

    Use of Controls (See Figure1)

Power On/Off: The ON/OFF switch ispart of the volume control. Turn thevolume control clockwise to turn power

on and counter-clockwise to turn poweroff.

Volume Control: Turn the VolumeControl clockwise to increase overallvolume level. Turn counter-clockwise todecrease volume.

Bass Control: The Bass Control adjuststhe volume level of the low subwooferfrequencies. To increase Bass, turn thecontrol clockwise. To decrease Bass, turnthe control counter-clockwise.

Treble Control: Treble frequencies areemitted from the satellite speakers. Toincrease treble (high frequencies), turnthe control clockwise. To decrease treble, turn the control counter-clockwise.

Notice: To avoid a pop sound whenpulling out the power plug from the ACoutlet or turning off power from a masterswitch, first turn off the ATP3 with theON/OFF switch.
