Dengue is an acute infectious viral disease transmitted by the Aedes mosquitoes. Common in tropical climates, the

dengue fever is also known as “break-bone fever” due to the severe joint and muscle pain suffered by the patients.

Other symptoms of dengue include severe headache, fever, and intense joint pain, which will usually last about a

week. The fever will usually subside after 2 to 5 days and thereafter will rise again followed by rashes on the skin.

The dengue hemorrhagic fever is another form of the disease, which is more serious and can be fatal.

Sadly, at this moment there is no specific treatment for dengue except for supportive therapy of fluid and electrolyte

balance, prevention and treatment of shock and treatment of coagulation disorders.

Even though there is no specific cure or treatment for dengue, there are several types of food or recipe that can be

easily prepared at home and used to treat dengue patients. I have listed the TOP 3miracle recipes as follows:

CRAB SOUP

First in my list would be the “Crab Soup”, which is delicious and can be easily prepared. Believe me that after 3

servings of this crab soup, the patient’s blood platelets will increase and fever will subside. Just give it a try.

Ingredients

2 crabs which have been cleaned and cut into two (can be any type, for instance flower crab or tiger crab)

1 inch of ginger (cut into small pieces)

1 clove of garlic (crushed)

1 shallot (pounded)

Cooking oil (2 spoonful)

4 cups of water

Salt

5 Peppercorns (pounded)

1 lemon grass (crushed)

Juice from 1 lime (squeezed)

1 strip each of coriander leaf and Chinese leak (cut into small pieces)

How to cook

Heat the cooking oil in a pot. Put in the shallot, garlic, ginger and peppercorn and fry (in low heat) until you can

smell the sweet and tangy aroma.

Put in the crabs and flip the crabs occasionally until both sides turned red

Put in water and lemon grass

Turn the heat low and cover the pot with a lid. Bring the soup to boil for at least 15 minutes.

PAPAYA LEAF JUICE

The juice is quite bitter but I don’t think so it’s that bad and it works wonders too. Please ensure that the dengue

patients get one serving of this juice, once a day. It has cooling effects and it can bring down the fever as well as

increase the patient’s blood platelets.

Ingredients

2 pieces of papaya leaves

Sugar syrup

Water (half a cup)

How to prepare the juice?

Clean the leaves and only take the leafy parts. Throw away the stem.

Pound the leaves and squeeze the juice through a strainer, preferably filter made of cloth. Don’t be discouraged as

you can only get about one tablespoon of juice from 2 pieces of leaves.

Put in the juice, water and sugar syrup into a glass and give it a stir

Put some ice cubes if you like

Drink it all. You won’t regret.

Please note that the juice should not be boiled, rinsed or cooked using hot water as it will lose all its medicinal

strength.

JUICE OF INDIAN PENNYWORTH (Goto kola)

Scientific name: Centella asiatica

The juice is cooling, nice taste and it works wonders too. Please ensure that the dengue patients get at least one

serving of this juice per day. Besides having cooling effects, it can help bring down the fever as well as increase the

patient’s blood platelets.

Ingredients

1 bunch of Indian pennyworth leaves

Sugar syrup

Water (one glass)

Please note that currently there is no proof from the modern medical point of view to verify that the recipes above

really works. However, I believe that there are many people out there who have tried these recipes and found them

as the miracle cure for dengue fever.

After all, there is no harm in trying as they are all the gift of nature. Perhaps the above recipes can be used to ease

the suffering of dengue patients and probably the alternative treatment could also save some lives.
