Alumecano Plywood is a totally “mechanized” decking system that uses only 3 basic elements: Support Girder, Main Girder and Drophead. The design of its elements optimises to the maximum its dimensions and materials for a more rational and effective use. Design that also facilitates the assembly as well, contributing efficiency in the stages of work. Alumecano Plywood stands out as well by its lightness and resistance that allows a longer use and better handling for the workers.

Easy to assembly: only 3 main elements allowing faster and intuitive assembly.Mechanized system: semi-rigid unions and guided position of the girders.Light system: Main girder with dropheads (25Kg), approximately 50% less than other similar systems of the market.

Stable grid structure: structural elements in-corporating “U” guiding the structure.Resistant components: Main girder and Support girder made of high resistance steel.Safe design: Drophead with double support, it provides a stable and safe support for the formwork surface.

Early stripping: 3 days after pouring*, 80% of the material can be recovered.No need to set-out props: thanks to the dro-phead and the design of main girders it is not necessary to set-out props.Cost-effectiveness: early stripping allows shorter elapsed time pouring cycles.

Alumecano Plywood complete formwork equipment means: Support Girder (white) every 6’-6 3/4” (2.0 m)*, Main girder with Dropheads every 2.5 m and 4 removable girders in between distant every 1’-7 11/16” (0.5 m).

Alumecano Plywood stripping process starts recovering simultaneously Support Girders (white) and main girders (red).

Immediately afterwards Dropheads from the remaining supporting girders allows recovering of Plywood panels. Only main girders placed every 8’-2 7/16” (2.5 m) (Plywood dimensions) will remain supporting the concrete slab up to 21 or 28 days.

Easy and safe joining system

Semi-rigid joining system for fasterassembly and stability.

Pre-set positions for main girders

Main and Secondary girders are hooked by means of the provided “U” lay-out.

Made of duraluminium (light and resistant) incorporates safety featu-res: wood filler for plywood nailing and rubber plugs to ease the effects when stripping.

Drophead with doble support

Alumecano’s Drophead doesn’t rely on dangerous welding traction moments. Always attached at both ends: one with a Telescopic Prop and at the other slotted into the Main girder specially designed gap.

Main Girders were designed with specialsupport to slot in the Drophead at one end.

Intuitive assembly

The design of the support girders includes the pre-set position for Main girders (as shown in the picture below) enhancing productivity in the assembly and stability to the structure at the same time.

Self-guided assembly

Joins between support girders are easy to rich and, once they are joi-ned. safely attached. The “She” end of the girder holds the “He” end of the next girder working steady and facilitating a stable grid from the start.
