JJ Smith in partnership with Europe’s leading manufacturers of aluminium processing machinery have a complete range of equipment from simple pull down chop saws, through to state of the art CNC work stations. Together we offer solutions to suit your aluminium processing requirements, with machinery specifically designed for the cutting / machining of aluminium profiles used in the production of windows and doors, shop fitting, vehicle building, sign makers, security systems and many other applications.

Standard Machines

Graule ZS170

Radial crosscut saw for straight and compound angle cutting with blade lubrication and pneumatic clamps.

Fom Industrie Sika Plus Single blade mitre saw with 2 horizontal pneumatic clamps and automatic lubrications.

Fom Industrie Panda Upstroke saw for straight and angled cutting with automatic two hand saw stroke push button control.

Fom Industrie Assomak Brain

Programmable positioning length stop available in 3000, 4200 & 6000 lengths for use with crosscutting saw, boring and anything which requires accurate positioning of work piece.

Omga TRF 527 Twin blade mitre saw for cutting 2 profiles simultaneously, specifically designed for cutting aluminium beading.

Fom Industrie ARES 30 is aimed at that segment of the market made up of medium-size window frame makers who consider the purchase of a machining centre “excessive” and who intend to use the machine only for those operations where a certain performance is achieved (milling operations for locks, handles etc.) and where the use of a traditional manual pantograph machine means losing a great deal of time in setting up. The ISO30 CONE quick change and the inverter kit are also supplied as standard. The quick tool changer with ISO 30 cone makes using the machine very appealing for various machining processes normally entrusted to single machines such as: strips and plinths, holes for wall fittings, holes for handle and lock fittings, holes for fitting joins etc. This turns the machine into a “multipurpose machining centre” able to carry out all frame making processes to great advantage.

Main Features

25 mm head sliding guides with •recirculating ball blocks that make the machine stable even under extreme conditions.

Easy programming (the frame maker •carries out the same process as for programming a manual pantograph using a frame machining library)

The option of saving a sequence of •operations on the three sides of the profile, so as to be able to take the piece out of the machine completely finished. A collapsible work table (patented) which provides the revolving table with great rigidity.

Fom Industrie MOXIE is a double headed saw for straight, angle and compound angle cutting of aluminium sections, with one fixed head and one moveable head positioned along precision linear guides, the blades can rotate to +/-45° and tilt from 90° to 45° outwards, intermediate angles can be locked in position. The machine is fitted with 2 x Ø400mm TCT saw blades with oil pneumatic downstroke, the speed of stroke can be controlled with a fast return stroke. Two length versions are available 4000mm and 6000mm,

Standard Features Include

2 x 3hp motors •(belt drive to blades) •

2 x Ø400mm TCT saw blades •

2 x horizontal clamps •

Spray mist lubrication system•

The BLITZ ALVA is one of the fundamental stages in the evolution of double head sawing machines for aluminium and is a trademark product from Fom Industrie. It is recognised and appreciated by users for its considerable performance in terms of cutting quality compared to standard products. With thousands of installations around the world, it’s a reassurance of superior technical and functional quality and of safety for end users.

In recent months Blitz Alva has undergone a comprehensive technical restyling. Once again Fom Industrie, with a customer oriented perspective, has invested in research and development, placing every single component of the product under the magnifying glass in order to optimise performance and costs.

New Features include:

Profile height measuring device.•Mobile head roller table.•Design and machine ergonomics.•Vice support.•Set up for extraction of chips and fumes.•

Standard Features Include:

Machine versions available with 4, 5 and 6 metre beds.•Head tilting from 22.5° external to 90° by means of pneumatic cylinders, with front-mounted •mechanical stops for intermediate angles.Hydraulic blade feed.•500 mm Tungsten Carbide sawblades.•First head fixed, second head mobile with automatic motorised positioning.•New roller table in sheet metal mechanically integrated with the mobile head.•Minimum cutting capacity between the two heads: 300 mm (can be reduced with manual •undersize cuts kit or with software on versions A and C) .3 numerical control versions; network connection available (optional) included on versions A. •Integral safety guard around cutting zone.•Atomised blade lubrication.•Set up for extraction of chips and fumes.•
