INTRODUCTION

´ Making fire is the most important element that each person has to

learn in there life. Fire is the things that keep us feel warm ,give us

light ,and coked our meal.

´

Knowing how to do fire with flint and steel and striking themtogether and replace these with matches or lighter is important

skills by the time it will be easy for you. It is helpful to use in any

place out side the city like jangles or desert is you don·t have any

tools to set up fire .



MATERIALS

Char cloth

Flint Steel

Nest



SAFETY PROCESS

´ Each person has to practice under expert person. how to striking

flint and steel in right way in order to make fire without damages or

hurt.

´

Try to find the right environment to striking fire with flint and steelin place there is no trees, grass , wet climate to avoid any kind of

disturb.

´ Tyr to be carful when you striking the flint and steel to gather and

watch not cut your finger.

´ When you strike the flint against steel try not to be close to your

body and do it in one fast emotion.

´ Try to have fire extinguisher in your car in case of emergency.

´ Try to go in place that there is signal for your mobile phone to call

any person if you burn your self.



STEEL

�The stile should be sharp ,hard and solid in

order to have good spark.

Any correctly tempered high ²carbon willwork.

�The steel can come in µcµ shape which is the

traditional steel or knife or pieces of metal.

�The steel need to be large enough so that we

can stick some fingers in to it.



Any piece of good quality flint will work

good.

It need to be a large enough size to

control while striking the steel.

The edge does not need to be razor sharp

it recommend to be sharp as gunflint .

FLINT



CHAR-CLOTH

�In order to have a char cloth we have to create

�It is made from cotton

�It should be heated enough to get away from

the oxygen .�Smoke should come out of the hole in the lid

as cloth cooks

�The cloth should be black.

�Then try to save it in dry place



NESTNest can be any dry grass or leaves that you

can find it in any real environment like woods

.



CONTENT- STEP 1

´ How to hold flint:

´ Try to hold it in one hand

and the steel in the other.

´ The sharp edge should be infront of the steel.



CONTENT- STEP 2

´ How to hold flint and

char cloth.

´ Cover the sharp edge with

the cloth and hold the

steel in your other hand

´ Try to hold the char cloth

with your finger very tight



CONTENT- STEP 3

´ How to hold flint and char

cloth cloth in hand, and steel

in the other.

´ Hold the flint that was

covered by char cloth in hand

and try to hold the steel in

other.



CONTENT- STEP 4

´ How to strike steel against

flint to create a spark.

´ You have to practice may

time how to strike a spark

when you strike the steel

against the flint .



CONTENT- STEP 5

´ Identifying when cloth fire:

´ You will see how the char

cloth will catch the strike.

After hit the flint against thesteel and star to glowing.



CONTENT- STEP 6

´ Place char cloth cloth in the

nest and start to rape it in side

the nest



CONTENT- STEP 7

´ Try to blow the glowing char

cloth inside the nest until the

whole nest get burn.



CLOSING -

´ Now you will have fire on the

nest
